Rumour has it that Brian May approached Adam Lambert directly to sing with the band at the EMAs. Adam Lambert has tweeted: "Make sure you tune in to the EMA's this Sunday." and "@Silliegirl oh I'm going to be there and more. ;)" If he is I want "The show must go on"!! |
Micrówave 03.11.2011 10:29 |
If he is, I want: 1. A loaded .38 caliber handgun. One bullet will be sufficient. 2. A noose 3. A straight razor and short sleeves 4. Mass amounts of uncut heroin 5. A large plastic bag 6. A closed garage and a running engine |

Christ. I hope not. |
flavilla 03.11.2011 14:14 |
Ha Ha! Proof is in the pudding an' all that! Freddie is irreplaceable but think Adam Lambert is the right person for a guest slot. He can sing and hit the high notes. Sunday might just surprise you!! |

A closed garage and a running engine I agree. sounds terrible (Especially since it's not related to some b.s. contest show content. ...really... searching this guy out? a queen for queen... eh i just dunno.. whatever. If I hear the Red Special again, that's all that's really gonna count |
Gregsynth 03.11.2011 15:34 |
He fucked up "We Are The Champions" on American Idol--so I'm kinda dreading this (nothing against Adam personally). |
mooghead 03.11.2011 15:46 |
Just goes to show once and for all how much Queen (ie Brian May) is out of touch... alienating old fans and making young people look at them like desperate old men from the 70's Its actually starting to get upsetting.... |

Well guys, just wait it out until Sunday's passed. Wouldn't want to look like a bunch of fools getting angrily excited over nothing again now, would you? ;-) |
Donna13 03.11.2011 17:40 |
Even if it is bad, it will be really good. I've never seen Adam mess up. He is always perfect. He's got the voice to handle some of the "delicate" Queen songs so I hope they make use of that rather than going straight to rock and roll screams. A medley would be nice especially if they could include some non-hits to spice it up. I wonder how much rehearsal they can get in. Hope it goes well. |
the dude 1366 03.11.2011 21:06 |
Those of you so against this should remember a song called "Delilah" |
the dude 1366 03.11.2011 21:18 |
Seriously. If Queen and Adam Lambert farted into a microphone for an hour to make an album, it would still be un upgrade over "Delilah" and part of "Hot Space". |
e-man 04.11.2011 03:04 |
great. what is probably bri and rog's final live appearence as Queen will be as a backing band for a runner up from an american karaoke contest. if brian still can't get on with paul rodgers, at least give tom chaplin a call. a good voice AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST; credibility |
TyphoonTip 04.11.2011 06:57 |
When the singer from Keane is seen as the 'credible' alternative, then you know things have definitely gone sour. |

Oh shit, something JUST might be going on, because none other than Brian's site had this to cryptically post in the news section:

It lists on the MTV ema website that Queen are going to perform tomorrow + they are picking up a "Global Icon award" |
cmsdrums 06.11.2011 08:28 |
I'd love to see them do A Kind of Magic as per the 2008 tour ie. with Roger on drums and vocals, and a shredding solo from Brian. It's a well known track, works well live, is relatively 'risk free' for them to nail, and doesn't need a guest vocalist. |
notimeforlosers 06.11.2011 16:21 |
I have nothing against Adam Lambert and even used to appreciate his performances on American Idol. But. What an awful performance on EMA. I was watching with some non-Queen fans and I was really embarassed. Terrible. I am all against this flow of criticism for Brian and Roger teaming with everybody and everything they have been doing lately, 'cause it's their 'fucking legacy' as Roger said, but I'll have to agree that this MTV performance was the ultimate disaster. |
Marknow 06.11.2011 16:35 |
Highlight of EMA's Warning contains nudity |
The Fairy King 06.11.2011 18:16 |
Marknow wrote: Highlight of EMA's Warning contains nudity Honestly? Like they would allow this naked dude on stage with Hayden if it wasn't scripted? Prolly some Irish comedian no-one has ever heard of...yet. |
Marcos Napier 06.11.2011 19:06 |
And I thought Queen + Paul Rodgers was bad. Or Queen + 5ive. Upsetting doesn't describe this enough. |
Marknow 06.11.2011 19:13 |
Although it does look scripted I doubt MTV would plan male nudity for a largely teen audience in the arena and at home, they could have though, suppose we will find out for sure in the next few days. |

just listened to this performance with Adam Lambert on youtube... and i have one word: FAIL |
inu-liger 06.11.2011 22:46 |
OK, so I'm confused....are you guys ABSOLUTELY even certain that Under Pressure WAS performed in full beyond a tease, AND with Lady Gaga on top of that? Because I cannot find any mention of a Q+AL+LG performance in the medley in Google News! |
The Fairy King 07.11.2011 09:07 |
No it wasn't. |
Matias Merçeauroix 07.11.2011 17:15 |
Adam Lambert was great. What an amazing singer. People who prefer Paul Rodgers are fucking fascists. |

Marcos Napier 08.11.2011 09:43 |
If only he could turn that vibrato pedal off. Even Gaga dressed with a rotten meat dress wouldn't be that bad. Was he chosen due to the gayness? If so, i'm still waiting for George Michael to have another chance. |

Lambert and Rodgers can both go blow a camel. Together. I'd be happy if I never heard either of them again. |
Queen4ever13 10.11.2011 10:03 |
Come on Adam Lambert?? What are you thinking guys? He's a joke, he wants to be Freddie Mercury in the worst way and he isn't and never will be in any way shape or form. Please don't lower yourselves. It's foolish at this point. |
beautifulsoup 12.11.2011 06:41 |

They could always tour with American Idol over the summer. Ha. Just kidding. It would be great to see them on a tour again. |
Queen4ever13 12.12.2011 20:42 |
I believe they were just announced as Queen with Adam Lambert singing lead?? How could they? I even tried watching it again to be objective and I thought he was terrible. He massacred the songs. I honestly hope they aren't seriously considering him as their singer. He even looks like a bad joke. |
Queen4ever13 14.12.2011 10:03 |
Amen. |
