The technical skill required to play fingerstyle guitar is beyond the comprehension of most guitarists, never mind the average person. Not only is her arrangement brilliant, but her delivery is so fluid and flawless.
Someone should send this to Brian.
Agree.. its one thing to learn the chords to a song to play along to your cd's.. but to play the song along with the vocal notes requires supreme talent.. exceptional stuff....

Her Queen cover is one of the simpler pieces. Check out her Tommy Emmanuel and Andy McKee covers. Few can interpret their work with such fluidity and precision.
She is undoubtedly one of the most talented guitarists in the world.
Never mind playing guitar parts and vocal parts....playing guitar parts, vocal parts AND keeping the percussive backbeat at the same time, THAT'S the amazing part, she has great rhythm in her playing.
It's an entire genre of guitar playing that most people aren't even aware of. It started with guys like Merle Travis in the 40s and Chet Atkins in the 50s. Tommy Emmanuel carries the torch these days.
Players like Don Ross, Kaki King and Andy McKee are all brilliant as well. Their chops are just far and beyond any of the so-called guitar gods. They are masters of playing melody, rhythm and bass all at once, while often using the body of the guitar as percussion as well.

slightly off subject, but I got to witness Kaki King do this kind of guitar magic from the first row in a packed 350 seat auditorium recently. This cover of Don't Stop sends shivers down my spine!
