Hi everyone,
Years ago, and I mean about 25 years ago, I was in a shop in Perth and as background music they were playing a Queen mix that was very much like Stars on 45, professional with that unmistakable back beat. It isn't Stars on 45, because I have searched for years for it and been thru their whole collection. Maybe it was something like that Jivebunny group, but I am stumped. Can anyone help me out?
Shane
Hey Shane,
I have a Canadian bootleg which is called Tribute to Freddie 'released in 1992' which has some Hollywood Records remixes on it, like the infamous and shitty version of Seven Seas Of Rhye and more of that crap HR released over the years. On this CD there is an 22 minutes stars on 45 a like remix which is called Queens Reprise '92. Maybe you heard that version. This long mix is nothing more than the remixes of HR versions along with Freddie's Love Kills. And I have also some bootlegs which has copieed this with a slightly alternation. To be honest, avoid this.... big time........Hope this helped.
Cheers, Tom
Cheers Tom, but it was way earlier than 92 - I was working in the city in 82, so it was around then. I'll check out this 'reprise' anyway, but in my mind, most of these mixes sound awful.
