According to the November edition of Record Collector magazine, a box set of Live At Wembley will be released. The box set will contain 2 CD / DVD plus reproduction tour pass, shirt and scarf, plus a 12inch inflatable Freddie Mercury. |

So that's the xmas Queen product ... Wembley for the fifth time? I honestly thought they could do better. |

Shite, I wanted a Queen Rock Montreal boxset :-( |

I assume this is North America, right? we never got the set when it was supposed to come out. |

link "the price is right" |
| dysan 07.10.2011 06:12 |
I can't wait to buy this. |
| malicedoom 07.10.2011 08:42 |
HOLY SHIT that looks AWESOME! And it's through Amazon.COM??? USA??? No way. Outstanding! |
| pittrek 07.10.2011 11:07 |
Excellent. 2 months after I bought the 2DVD + 2CD set they are releasing Wembley again. Hooray ! Well I bought Wembley on MC, VHS, CD in 1992, CD in 2001, CD in 2003, DVD in 2003, CD+DVD in 2011 (October). So naturally I MUST buy it also in 2011 (November), right ? Sorry, I'll keep my money for something at least interesting |
| joesilvey 07.10.2011 11:18 |
agree - actually a rare US Queen release I won't be buying... I put the 2011 Wembley CDs (from Amazon.co.uk) up against the 2003 remaster CDs, and heard no difference at all... Didn't compare the waveforms, but there was little if any sonic improvement for this last release. Sooo wanted a new mix a la Montreal. Could have been brilliant. |

Am I the only one who thinks the price of this release is ridiculous? Even the most elaborate Pink Floyd-re-release is significantly cheaper than this item. And this one doesn't even have any bonus content in terms of sound or vision the regular release doesn't! |
| Pim Derks 07.10.2011 14:26 |
over 200 euros for a fucking 2xDVD + 2x CD set which sells for 15 euros in the Netherlands. But wait - there's more. An inflatable Freddy-doll, a hawaiian shirt and a hand-drawn map by Brian's dad. Don't care, not gonna buy it. |
| matt z 07.10.2011 20:06 |
Hmmm... i don't see any mention of an inflatable doll... With that price they oughta at least include all FOUR members' characters.... While I've always loved the artwork... i think the pricing range is out of my league... toss in a replica of Freddie's Mighty Mouse T Shirt and John's horrible 80's Euro Jeans...and i might consider it. but.... $279.01.... you're out of your f'ing mind... why...why... i'd have to give up beer..... FOR A MONTH!!! :) |
| Vali 08.10.2011 02:53 |
This is extremely ridiculous and over-prized. I'd like to listen to some official word trying to explain why QPL/Universal think this boxset has to be much more expensive than any of the Pink Floyd boxsets, for instance. My frustration with QPL has become pity. I feel sorry for them, really. They're nowadays totally out of place in the music industry. Everytime they try doing one step forward, in the end it's three steps back !! |
| dsmeer 08.10.2011 04:19 |
The price is very high. Does anyone know how much there will be made? |
| CosmosTales 08.10.2011 19:48 |
If the price of that pack is ridiculous what do you call this one: link lol |

Oh come on. It's a Royal Orb. A ROYAL ORB! That's pity pricing for a Royal Orb. Royal Orbs are usually much much more money and much much less hilarious. We should be thankful. |
| gerry 11.10.2011 11:15 |
who the hell picks these naff products for us queenies? wembley stadium has been flogged so many times on dvd i refuse to buy it. i thought Queens hammersmith odeon gig 1975 was going on to dvd for xmas? I would have prefer Queen at Hyde Park 1976 on DVD, or something else we have not already seen. Rather than Brian and Roger working with lady ga ga i would like to see them record some new material with Tina Turner, Paul McCartney, or even shirley Bassey! Lady ga ga is NOT worthy playing with QUEEN on the same stage. |
| oracle2008 11.10.2011 14:03 |
Best Queen concert ever, and I would like to see anyone hold the crowds attention in the way the boys could on stage, just pure magic! |
| matt z 11.10.2011 16:29 |
CosmosTales wrote: If the price of that pack is ridiculous what do you call this one: link lol ============================================= I'd call it ridiculous... but hell... at least it's lossless FLAC. just DON'T get it near a magnet... that drive will be ERASED. I was gonna say,.... at THAT price... it had better come with live ammunition... Looks conspicuously like the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch. link |
| malicedoom 12.10.2011 12:13 |
WTF - they took down the picture of the actual ITEM and replaced it with the poster of the group? HUH?!? |
| matt z 12.10.2011 15:12 |
malicedoom wrote: WTF - they took down the picture of the actual ITEM and replaced it with the poster of the group? HUH?!? ======================= Hmm...maybe it was the "Holy Hand-Grenade of Antioch" comparison.?? ....maybe Queenzoners wield more weight than we thought! ;) In which case.... i request a few seats (4) to the upcoming Queen + Guests Rock Honors style show. I'm Sure GEt Down Make Love would sound great with Steve Tyler belting it out... ....if he did American Idol... he owes it to himself to do this sorta thing. The collection is a cool idea. BUT its far from being a COMPLETE one... in my ebay days, (before everything was easily available online for downloading)... i considered picking up an import of the VINYL COMPLETE WORKS... for the inclusion of the B-sides alone. (that was when i was young and things were less complicated) Maybe if there was a bigger incentive it'd sell crazy. Like if the long rumored Anthology was included... (demos outtakes, snippets etc). I know there's a complete Stevie Wonder I-Tunes Set out there that pulled together several titles LONG LOOONG out of print. (unfortunately i dont believe it includes the hundreds of guest spots he's done on other people's albums...not to mention songs WRITTEN by him) So they could do something comparable. God Bless the Queen (the band) |
| alaynasusan 18.11.2011 01:31 |
I was quite excited at the thought of carrying around an inflatable Freddie...the price would be ridiculous even if the shirt wasn't awful and the inflatable Freddie wasn't the cartoon version of him. I can sew "Queen" onto a plain black scarf myself, for much less than $200. I hope no one buys this set, maybe they'll stop adding garbage onto gold to sell stuff. |
| dysan 24.11.2011 04:44 |
Are these items only available on line? Haven't seen them in my local HMV (It's a big one) |
