Freddie Mercury deserves this prestigious award for he was ADORED by all in this region. Pity he's not here to accept. Certainly HE is smiling from Heaven. And undoubtedly his Mom Jer is thrilled.
Freddie deserves this and his family should be extremely proud. It was a long time coming, don't know if he would have been so anxious to ackowledge such an award since he didn't like to discuss his background much, but nonetheless it is a worthy honor. I believe all the fans feel proud of him.
