I'm not normally into stuff like this, but was listening to Queen live at wembley on my phone and when looking at the cover (this is the original front cover of freddie on his own) - there's a face towards his back, picture attached.

So...when looking at a low-resolution picture, about 2x2 inches big, on a telephone-screen, you spotted a ghostly face in seriously retouched vapor from a smoke machine. Wow.

absolutely
I'm looking at the CD cover - he is right... there is a shadowy figure of freddie's face in the smoke....
I'm thinking there was an error when they were setting up the image... anyone care to explain how that stuff works?
Actually, if you look even closer you see freddie's face (left side) and then to the left of that Roger's bass drum... so defenitely not a ghost - likely a superimposed photo included by error...
I guess it's more plausible to conclude that there's nothing in there. Why would they bother?
To be honest, Queen were never subtle, and certainly not since Freddie's passing. If they had wanted to put something in there they would have done it like the Freddie pic on the back of the Greatest Hits III cover.
On the other hand, do you remember that video of a Queen + Paul Rodgers gig in which you can see the smoke on the stage forming Freddie's silhouette for a second right next to Paul, during We Believe. That one I could see and it was kinda creepy. This one? Naah...
I see nothing either, but since we are talking about ghosts, misterious signs and some other paranormal stuff I can show you all the face of Beelzebub on Freddie We Will Rock You cap in the second night at Wembley 86,looolll.....

Nothing strange about that. Just sweat evaporating - do you have any idea how hot a lighting rig like that actually is?

Ha ha, I've always been wondering about it.

Smoke = Simple result of taking a break... watering down with cool water or hell even a quick shower... and then coming out amidst a MASSIVE lighting rig... (those things make you sweat regardless of the outside atmosphere)..
it looks like steam, that's all. quick atmospheric adjustment. Maybe fred was too hot and the outside air after the break (to get his guitar) was too cold. I'm certain it was edited down a little bit from the actual time at the concert. No big story there.
I'm just glad no one brought up John Deacon's "Ball Slip" with the shorts.... and whether or not it looks clearer on BLUE RAY
