Rock in Rio 4 started yesterday with a homage to Freddie. In front of a 100 thousand audience, the Brazilian Symphonic Orchestra played Love of My Life along to Milton Nascimento (plus Titas and Paralamas do Sucesso). Images of Freddie in the 1985 edition of the festival were shown in the screen. link
Unfortunately Milton Nascimento's performance was not good. A renowed and respected Brazilian artist for decades, Nascimento is also know abroad to some extent, mainly in world music and some jazz circles. For some reason, he did not perform up to his standards. Anyway, a homage to Freddie in front of such a big audience is always a very good thing, IMHO.
