I did a list of all charting Queen singles from Seven Seas to the 1999 remix of Under Pressure. I'm not going to bore you all with the minisculely precise facts of every single - that would be pointless, because there are 51 charting singles, including the Bo Rhap reissues in '91 (UK) and '92 (US) - but here are some interesting milestones:
Seven Seas was the first Top 10 hit in the UK.
Bo Rhap was the first #1 in Britain and first top 10 single in the States.
WWRY was the first top 5 hit in America [it hit #4].
Don't Stop Me Now is the lowest-charting single in USA, where it barely dented the charts at #86.
Love of My Life (Live) off Live Killers is the British equivalent to the former record, managing a fairly lukewarm #63.
Crazy Little Thing and AOBTD both scored Stateside #1's - the only times singles did better in America than Britain chartwise.
Under Pressure was the second chart-topper in Britain [it was the third British #1 for David Bowie].
Back Chat is the runner-up to the worst-charting British hit, securing #40.
Radio was the last top 40 US hit until TSMGO seven years later.
It's A Hard Life is the runner-up to the worst-charting US single, at #72 [Ouch! That's a supreme Queen classic as well].
Innuendo was the third UK number-one.
TMSGO, as noted, was the first US Top 40 since Radio - it hit #40. [Huh. Americans with their anti-'80s Queen tastes].
The Bo Rhap/TATDoOL double A-side was the fourth UK #1.
The Wayne's World-centric Bo Rhap reissue hit #2 in the States [jaw-drop! First American top 10 hit in twelve years!]
Somebody to Love (Live) was the bona fide 5th UK #1, and the last single [eh, it's bona fide, like I said] to chart in USA.
Let Me Live was the last top 10 hit in the UK [if you don't count the Under Pressure remix].
Do you have any info about the story that We Are The Champions knocked itself off the top spot in the French chart? Maybe they issued the A side and B-side flipped as happened quite bit in those days and both releases charted?
