It's nice to have the single version of Tie Your Mother Down on the Queen Rocks CD, but to me it sounds muddy (say, compared to the 1991 Hollywood Remaster of A Day At The Races - but that's not the single version).
Can anyone recommend a Queen release that contains the best sounding 'single' version of the song??
If you like the 1991 Hollywood Records remaster, as I do, it's worth checking out the US collection Classic Queen. It has the single version of "Tie Your Mother Down" on it. It's from the same series of Hollywood Records remasters.
Or, if you've got any sound editing software, just chop off the Fanfare from the album version and voila! Instant single version!
