I hadn't listened to all the tracks on the Queen Rocks CD in quite some time. Was just playing it again recently and realized the version of I Want It All is unique to all the other versions out there (even the one Hollywood Records screwed up on The Miracle 1991 CD re-release).
It contains the single version on the intro, but the extended (album version) middle section of the song. I've always preferred the album to the single version BECAUSE of the that cool middle section (for the intro of the song, I could go with either), so it's kind of cool to that this different version of the track.
I see you made another post discussing song versions so I thought I'd mention this here.
You know the 1991 Hollywood Records CD has an edit of "I want it all". The first time the chorus is sung it is sung only once, no repeat, which is weird.
Until recently, I thought this CD was the only one where you could find this edit/error but I just came across a 1995 EMI Music Mexico CD that has the same version. I didn't know there had been any remasters in 1995 but this might be a continuation of the 93-94 Digital Remaster Series which apparently only included 12 albums and didn't include The Miracle.
I guess it's another case of "EMI Mexico using U.S. Capitol master tapes" and getting something somewhat unique or peculiar. Like my Made In Heaven CD that has the original "Let me live" version on it, or that old Innuendo CD I had that included the Vinyl edits.
Cool, huh? ... No?... wel, mildly interesting, at least for me :)
Yeah, I have that Hollywood CD of The Miracle with that weird edit of I Want It All - very strange how that ended up happening. I think I recall the first Hollywood CD pressings of News of the World had a messed up edit of It's Late as well.
Very cool you have the original version of Let Me Live on CD (that's gotta be quite rare) and the Innuendo CD with the vinyl edits.
Hi inu, sadly I no longer have that CD. I was 11 years old when I got that CD, then lost the booklet and ended up selling it a few years later to a friend of mine who really wasn't that much into Queen.
It wasn't until about 2001 that I bought another Innuendo CD and I my jaw dropped to the floor when I heard Bijou and found out that it wasn't a 1 minute song. It sounded so weird to my ears at the time. I though Bijou was perfect as I had known it for about 8 years by then.
About the "Made in Heaven" CD, I don't believe I've ever seen it for sale on eBay or anything. Has anybody else come up with one of these? How much did you pay for it?
I didn't realize the tracks on the Innuendo vinyl were different than what was included on the CD.
I'd also love to hear the vinyl versions - could you send me the link as well?

Can someone upload this: I Want It All (Hollywood Records Album Version) please?
Here: link
The only real difference is the first chorus not repeating as others have said. The "I want it now" is different to any other chorus as well I think.
