Our dear Freddie should have been able to join his family friends and fans for a big knees up on his birthday but sadly he couldnt, although he was around im sure. I'm wondering if anyone has ever made a photo manip of how Freddie would look today if he were still with us? Here is my idea. Happy Birthday, Fred. |
Micrówave 06.09.2011 18:11 |
Is that Freddie Walnuts from The Sopranos? |
Thistle 06.09.2011 19:53 |
I'm no use with photoshop or anything like that, but I don't think Freddie would have looked anything like that at all. Don't know if you ever noticed just how thin Freddie's hair was getting (before his illness started affecting his features)??? I think he would have been plumper, quite a bit wrinklier, shaven head and full beard like he had in the later 80s. Only Gray :) I also think that as dentistry became far more advanced, he may have eventually had something done there, too. |
alaynasusan 06.09.2011 20:22 |
I honestly can't see him ever having fixed his teeth. I think past a certain point he would have noticed his teeth were almost as legendary as his voice. I also can't see the shaven head, but who knows, if he had gone bald he wouldn't have had much of a choice. When I hear his birthday mentioned every year I often wonder what he would've looked like. I wonder if he ever would've gotten plastic surgery like a few aging rockers have. |
AKOM76 07.09.2011 02:14 |
I really doubt he would have done anything with his teeth, did he not once say that he would be scared to alter his teeth in case he lost his vocal range or something like that; sure I read that somewhere. Would he have had cosmetic surgery elsewhere? I really dont know; I cant see him going "michael jackson" or if he was losing his hair "Elton John". I just thought that he would age in the same we David Essex has (google: David Essex 2011) |
john bodega 07.09.2011 02:27 |
I have some theories on what he would've looked like. Also - he wouldn't have gotten his teeth fixed. He didn't have to. They didn't stop him from having more sex than the entire African continent, or making more money than God. When you're that successful, you should keep your munted teeth just to say 'fuck you' to anyone who thinks they need fixing! :D |
freddiefan91 07.09.2011 02:39 |
His teeth were part of his character and he was pretty gorgeous as well and i think he would of grown old gracefully without plastic surgery, he didnt need it anyway and he would not of gotten fat, he always kept himself trim |

I have just realised that the picture I painted earlier was actually reminiscent of how Billy Joel actually looks today lol. Yep, those features but with Freddie's face :) |

He's aged very gracefully. Hasn't changed in 20 years. |

ThomasQuinn wrote: Not entirely unlike this, I think: link LOL.... Charlie Chaplin in "A KING IN NEW YORK".... what a great, bitter film. It's a shame he had to make A Countess From Hong Kong with Brando. Doing everything himself would have been much better. That said, he doesn't look much like Freddie. Well, **except for the pose... he's "King Shadov" [as in SOD OFF]" performing HAMLET in that scene. I think Freddie would have been a porker by now. (as in fat) .... probably like Elton John. |

Well he could look like that i imagine. The one in the first post. Good comparison i think |
Shvili 08.09.2011 16:31 |
I think he would be in great shape. His hair was kind of thinning in the crown area, but that's a common problem with double crowned people. I don't think hair loss would have progressed significantly, but it if id did, hair transplant procedure is a very common and effective solution today. I see him looking somewhat similar to George Balanchine when he was in his 60's. link |
queenUSA 08.09.2011 18:13 |
I think he would of looked absolutely great. Both his sister and even his mom look great - good genes! The thinning hair could of been due to illness, but still as someone pointed out - it all could of been fixed up as it nowadays. One aging singer who's pushed the plastic surgery button once too often is Barry Mannilow. He's looking a bit stretched these days and artificial. |
darcy-wright 09.09.2011 03:55 |
shaved head and beard - youve just described rob halfords modern look. not as scary as his 1986 blonde receding mullet. i think freddie would have allowed himself to age. noone should look like david coverdale does now... |

I think Freddie would have lost his hair around the mid ninties but would go for a hair transplant/weave. Can imagine him with with a goatee look and for him to age pretty well. |
Fireplace 10.09.2011 19:22 |
@AKOM76: That is so good it's scary. I think this is how I'd like to picture him at 65. |
Snackpot 10.09.2011 19:30 |
I don't think Freddie would have lost his hair completely. He didn't really start thinning until his late 30s/early 40s. Generally guys who do this don't go completely bald. Many just go into a state of permanent thinning. He's still have had hair, I reckon, but perhaps with a bit of a larger forehead. |

Either way, it's sad that he died so young. |

QueenLing wrote: (talking about Freddie's beard) that was just a temporary thing to hide his illness, not like his moustache which he really seemed to like. ============================================================================================ Not so sure about that, tbh. Plus, he wasn't ill in the early 70s where the "Queen" pics were taken. Defo had a beard, for aesthetic purpose, from time to time. |
sweetunes 14.09.2011 07:02 |
Freddie was very proud and particular about his music He was more concerned about his appearance on stage as he represented a "Rock" icon. I think in private he was a much different person, with a quiet, simpler life, who cherised his privacy. I don't think he would have tried to hide his aging, hair, teeth and all! However, having said that, I know he prided himself in taking care of his weight, and would never have let it go out of control! Besides, with his good looks, aging would only make he more handsome, more desireable to women and of course "men". |
QueenLing 14.09.2011 11:06 |
I don't think Freddie would have 'porked out'. No one in his family seems to be overweight. Freddie's father was quite thin as is his mother and sister. Also, Freddie has long, slender limbs, not a body type that is prone to roundness. Perhaps a bit of a paunch and that would be it. I think he would have a recessed hairline and probably a bald patch at the back (as was evident just before he died). If I get a moment, perhaps I'll try my hand at making my Photoshop version of Freddie at 65. One thing will be certain...he will always have a charismatic charm about him. |
SourMilkSea 16.09.2011 14:24 |
I agree that he would have been almost completely bald. Kind of like Phil Collins or Bob Hoskins. |
brENsKi 16.09.2011 16:13 |
you do realise that your nickname - Sourmilksea, is NOT actually an original Freddie idea. Freddie called one of his bands that as an acknowledgement of one of his favourite bands at the time - the Beatles. It's actually a Beatles (Goerge Harrison) composition from the 1968 (white album) sessions. apols if you already knew that. but many younger people round here probably think that names like 1984, sour milk sea etc were all original queen ideas |
Fireplace 18.09.2011 18:21 |
Oh, come on! I suppose next you will be telling us that Brian May did not write "1984"? Well he did, and it was Freddie's favourite book. Or so he says. |

katherinekelly16 27.08.2013 20:55 |
I think Freddie would have looked pretty much the same, maybe a little botox, & maybe some hair transplants, as far as his weight, Freddie was much too vain to have ever let himself get pudgy. I don't really care what he would have done to keep looking young, he was my hero, & however he looked, (which was gorgeous) it was his personality, his singing, his generosity, his sense of humour but most of his courage when he faced the biggest struggle of his life. Miss you every day, Freddie!~!~!~!~ ? ? |

Hello, I think the best guess we can have as to how he might have looked, is to look at his sister and his father. His sister looks excellent for 62 years old and could easily pass for younger - she looks late 40s, and yeah I know there are probably lotions and potions involved, and hair colour of course, but I don't get the impression there's any facelifting! There's a picture of his father sitting next to him in the 1970s, in his home, and Freddie started to really look like his dad in the face particularly in the 1990 Brits party. |
