I think the friday is more personal, not with these camerachanges after every 5 seconds...its more like beeing on a concert and watching somebody for a longer time than the 5 second how it is edited in the saturday show....Its hard to describe, but i think it is the best official recording of the magic tour, maybe just because it's new and I'd seen Budapest n wembley to often.... |
magicmatze 02.09.2011 12:18 |
THIS works finally...palim palim |

Mmm, such a great screenshot... Can't wait 'til it comes out here on 5th September! |

Because of the reason Germany is starting antoher Blitzkrieg, they decided to sell the dvd 4 days earlier as the rest of the world ? Just kidding... I seriously am wondering what you mean with Blitzkrieg , is this somekind of piratebay or something ? |
magicmatze 02.09.2011 13:52 |
no I was just kiding by myself, because Blitzkrieg is a german word which is known in many languages and it means in english something like fast war/attack. And because it was realised here earlier or faster, I thought it might be a nice wordplay ;) |

Can we all agree that Earls Court '77 first night has some of the WORST camera work of all time. The camera is on Brian for nearly ALL of White Queen and never once shows Freddie during the BoRhap verses. I feel like they were sleeping when they filmed that... or maybe the editor was. |

It looks like an amateur job. But I read recently that it was filmed intended to being used in a primitive sort of gigant screen. |

there are these live album in the official discography, killers, magic, wembley, fire and montreal, so we must to expect the release of these cd by the new label! wembley is only the first... |

Hamster - your 'wish' for a super deluxe edition of Wembley has come true - have a look at QOL for details just announced! How low can they get, announcing a box set edition including merchandise, after everyone has already pre ordered the 'normsl' versions? In fact I saw the press release about the box version as I was opening my normal one which has just arrived in the post! |

Wow pic is great |
magicmatze 03.09.2011 06:40 |
by the way....It seems to me that the moment I took this screenshoot, Freddie is doing the pose, which was used for the statue...any thoughts? |
Rick 03.09.2011 07:02 |
I read somewhere else that Deaky is practically absent for the first 20 minutes or so. The camera mainly focuses on Freddie. Am I right? |

magicmatze, you got a PM from me. |
magicmatze 04.09.2011 09:13 |
couple of people asked via PM, so I put it here for all: Most wanted to know something about quality, certain performances a.s.o.... Here is one reply I gave: yeah concert is complete. performance is all in all great, I think it is more familiar than the second night, because there might be a different behaviour, because the band knew, that they were filmed on the second evening. Quality is like the already released clips. I like the rough soundmixing, this is really a "live" concert, not as overdubbed and overmixed second night. BoRhap is at least as great as it was done on the second night...One big pro is, that many famous pics from the magic tour, are done on this concert, as I said, I think the pic which was used as rolemodell for the statue was shot on this gig...you can't see it it total, but at the end of TieYMD you see it in parts... when you combine the parts it is really close... hope this helps Matze |

How about the rehearsal footage and documentary. Any new stuff on that? |
magicmatze 04.09.2011 11:58 |
Bonus-material are: - the Brian + Roger Interviews from 2003 - a "new" magic-tour docu (approx 11 min), but its more like an extended Days of our lives version - rehearsals are the same as on the 2003 edition, was obvious that there is no more watchable secretly-filmed stuff |

Isn't this a bit a joke when reading those so being great announce stories? Allright we got the Friday night with a new sound mix. but,,,, - No 5.1 DTS........... EDITED; Yes it's there - No Blu Ray Format - No new Wembley footage backstage. Probably this same footage will be on the DAYS OF OUR LIVES dvd. - No New rehearal footage.> Not even a TV report from the various reports we have seen over the years or NOT even a new interview from 1986. - No new multi-Angle shots from Friday or Saturday |
cmi 04.09.2011 13:03 |
Please clarify the audio streams for Friday gig. I hope they used PCM for stereo mix... |

magicmatze wrote: Bonus-material are: ..... - a "new" magic-tour docu (approx 11 min), but its more like an extended Days of our lives version ..... So it's not the "A day at the stadium" documentary of the 2003 DVD edition, right? |
magicmatze 04.09.2011 13:58 |
Sound of the friday show: PCM Stereo and DTS 5.1 the docu is not the day at the Stadium from 2003 it is a docu about the magic tour with videos of Budapest, wembley and knebworth (nothing new, Radio Ga Ga and world we created) with interviews from Fred (1986; mostly famous quotes from the interview where he sits on the white couch), some John-quotes and interviews from brian and roger (2011, done during the DOOL-docu)... |
cmi 04.09.2011 14:16 |
Thanks a lot for detailed info! I already started to think that they mixed friday show in stereo just to compress it to DD for DVD... :) Thank God it's not. |
