Hi there, the last five albums are out today here in Germany and I bought a few of the bonustracks on i-tunes this morning (couldn't wait for the discs).
Here a few things I want to tell you guys from the other countries:
- Headlong is sung by Brian, but only the first two verses till the first guitar solo, rest of the song is instrumental (except few chorusses)
- Invisible Man starts with Roger vocals (dfifferent synths) , going into Freddie's vocals (the "Elvis-bridge", great!!!!! - time for fan-mixers!!!!), last two minutes only repeating the bass-line and synth theme
- Kind of Magic is a very rough version without guitar work, using words later used for "One Vision"
- A Winters Tale - only different mixing of Freddie's voice , very unspectacular
- Ride the Wild Wind: Roger's vocals, more synths, a nearly finished song structure, great
- Slightly Mad (Mad Mix) : Only some added sound effects, don't know if I need that version.....
- Kashoggi's Ship (from Deep Cuts 3): Saw the running time of 2:52 instead of 2:47 and I was right: They added a drum intro like done some time before in a fan mix
- Lost Opportunity: crap

Why couldn't they have used "Party" instead, but kept the final "Paaaarty!" on it.

You mean 'ooooooover' right?
If you go to itunes and change the store to Deutschland you can view the bonus videos. For some reason they chose I Want to Break Free from the 2nd Rio instead of the 1st which is 10 times better. .. which absolutely makes no sense and really just another let down. It's like having a fresh ripe apple and an old sour apple right in front of you and you choose the old sour one.
I would like to mention that not only the line 'it's a chance you have to take with love" was patched in It's a hard life (live in Rio). It is also the last line "I did it for love", which sounds like it was got from some studio recs.
Does anyone noticed that now we have full lenght version of It's A Beautiful Day (reprise) with extended drone intro and clean 'Yeah' outro on Deep Cuts 3? Also Made In Heaven has clean and slightly longer intro .
The demo for Ride The Wild Wind sounds so much better than the album version in my opinion
i still cant get round my head why Rock in Rio Blues is on made in heaven!!

RIRB was a b-side on the original Winter's Tale single, so I guess that's why. Stupid as that may seem, but it is QP we're talking about :)
It's a shame these 'demos' are so obviously composites - I'd be interested to get to the bottom of it. I assume the working methods meant that the mastertapes would have earlier rough vocals and guitar bits and that is what they've rediscovered and done a new mix featuring these parts and the recognizable motifs. Hence ruining any redeeming value the demos would have. Still interesting, mind.
Slightly Mad is bloody awful, the silly geese.
Lost Opportunity - nice, as long as I think of it being cut from the same cloth as See What A Fool..
Kashoggis Ship stand alone - case in point of a track loosing all redeeming features when removed from it's parent album. I love The Miracle album, but my oh my this sounds really flimsy. You kind of notice it's just a 4 piece band playing with a hidious effect on the guitar.
