Maybe this is old news, or this is in error, but I check into imdb.com Pro and it's still "Untitled Freddie Mercury Biopic." No mention of the "real" title here.
Check out the mention in passing here, in the Examiner, to the film's title: link
And here's a screen shot from IMDB Pro of the film. You have to search for "Freddie Mercury Biopic" to even get here.
Also of note is that it has "2014" next to the title and its listing in the "Projects in Development." My understanding is that it was shooting in a couple of months this year and was to be released next year?
When is the movie coming out? and will it be ike a real movie- you know playing in every theater everywhere. Cuz I live in america and sometimes they have things like museums or tours just in england

Well considering GK films originates in California, I'm pretty sure it will at least be released in America. I think it will be like most movies and be released in many different countries.
If this is the official title, I like it. I am reminded of somebody's words that the AKOM video gave him the feeling that Freddie provided the magic in the music of the band. It also shows that the other band members feel the same way.
(I dare not mention the name of the person in case I did not express it accurately :-) )
It does not make sense to call it "AKOM" because the movie is supposed to end at 1985's Live Aid before the band probably touched the song. It should be "In the Lap of the Gods" or bring on another title more relevant to the time frame the movie follows. The title sounds lame anyways and quite boring.

This is called "thinking out of the box". Our perspective were all inside the up-to-Live Aid box when we were proposing the film titles in a previous thread. :-)
Well, the title might not be the title, at least according to this Variety article about the hiring of someone at GK Films: link
To wit:
GK Films, launched by Graham King and Tim Headington in 2007, is in post-production on "Hugo," "In the Land of Blood and Honey" and "The Rum Diary." It's in development on the pic adaptation of "Jersey Boys," the untitled Freddie Mercury story and a "Tomb Raider" reboot.

I agree. "A Kind of Magic" sounds kind of cheesy and I can't imagine a movie being called that to be taken that seriously. Even just the title "Freddie" would be good enough.
I still don't see this happening, to be honest.
I don't know, the 1980-1985 period is really uninteresting.
It would be great if they did a story about his last years or so. It would be a great story of a guy who is fighting AIDS and it could be a kind of dramatic love story with Jim Hutton as well. THAT would be interesting.
