Thank for your post.
This could be really great. Ga Ga won't let Brian go one stage dressing ordinary average. So it would be quite a suprise what Brian will be wearing tonight. Will it be one of his costumes from the seventies designed by Zandra Rhodes? The outfit from the Hammy 1975 concert? Guess we have to find out...

Nope. It was the same clothes he wore on Friday night with My Chemical Romance at the Reading Festival.
Hope he's washed his undies since then..... ;-)
That was great, I for one loved the performance. Nice that Brian still got his 5 minutes infront of the US audience with the biggest star on the planet right now. Althought judging by the look on Justin Bieber's face, someone probably had to explain Lady Gaga's performance to him using sock puppets or something.
I thought it was pretty awesome. Brian's tone and solo was classic and on. Quite the weekend of guest playing.
Would be great to hear a Brian-heavy studio mix.
And to have this on the News section of the site, right?
nice one indeed.
i think this performance pretty rocks.!
as for one who's completely unfamiliar with the lady GaGa-phenomenon, and for being the 1st performance of her i saw, i have to admit, i like her amount of enery. nice one !
nevertheless... good to see the ol'e silverback humping his red lady :-)
Poor Brian. Clarence Clemons got her in her underwear essentially, and he got her dressed up as an ugly dude. I do really respect just how weird and unattractive she's been willing to make herself look on many occasions to express some concept or other. It's not in any way typical of female artists, and I think it's brave and rebellious in a thought provoking way.
Some people who don't like her generally have appreciated some of her acoustic arrangements and there is a version of 'Edge of Glory' that is worth checking out. I thought of it because she's so into her delivery and throwing herself completely into her performance that she ends up pulling somewhat odd faces here and there...another example of putting art before beauty.
Hmm... that collaboration was probably the only Gaga Song i'll ever pay for... (I PLAYED IT ON A BAR JUKE BOX)
...but that was only for Bri.
Anyways.... seems like the "HINT" would validate the Queen Bio Pic's alleged title "A KIND OF MAGIC"
...seeing how Brian May Threw in that iconic Bm7 pull off to A^
in other words... the last phrase was a riff from "A KIND OF MAGIC"
...which Lady Gaga isn't... but hey... she's not BAD.....it's just pop. You'll probably find some nuggets in there somewhere.
But until then,
ONE.... she's a good marketing strategist (i.e. By Stealing gimmicks...one that Annie Lennox had done in the 80's)
TWO.... by having MOSTLY gimmicks (that females somehow see as empowering.... keep in mind chicks love music with repetitious beats.... and so do gay people. Which brings us to .....
THREE.... she has an avid gay fan base.... which means she'll be popular till the day she croaks. Just like Cher, Elton and ...err... Celine? ...and well....Liza Minelli.
Anyways, the point of this posting is just that i put two and two together..
and lastly... i hope a FOO collaboration is in store for the next tour.... and hopefully i can get a ticket to that show.
The foo's have love. Chuck Norris...i dunno... seemed like a Middle of the Road rock effort strategy to target Bible Belt Red States in America and reclaim popularity.
the problem is.... it was really....REALLY "M.O.R."
:-/
Loving the Danny Zuko thing! :D Awesome performance and great to see Brian getting some recognition in the US. Except from that douche who came on after their performance praising only Gaga.
Awesome performance by Dr. May and, surprisingly for me, also by Lady Gaga!
I just wonder if Queen still finds a place in Brian's schedule. I like his collaborations a lot, but I would love to see him devoting time to further work with Roger. Whenever they pair, both sound amazingly great and a thousand times better than by themselves.
Cheers,
Ogre-
Best thing I've ever seen Ga-Ga do,even if she did fall on her ass getting off the piano. I think she looks better as a guy. Bri was great, as usual. Seeing as how Queen as a group is unfortunately broken, I like seeing Brian get out and do some of this stuff, though he seems spread so thin I don't know how he keeps all the plates spinning. Must thrive on it.
