Hi Everybody!
I have a question for you in the album Night at the Opera MFSL , I found such information, which surprised me, and at the same time dazed and confused me
"A song written by Brian and Freddie called "And Baby will Fall" was originally slated to end the album until it was decided that 'God Save The Queen' be the conclusion. Further, songs titled "Woe" (written by Brian and Freddie), "All for Nothing" (written by John), and "Any Given Day" (written and sung by Brian) were also recorded"
Is it true or lie?
Cheers
"woe" is an old topic that does crop up occasionally, so perhaps there's some truth in it...also have a feelign it m,ay have ended up as part of "prophet's song"
is it possible that "any given day" "all for nothing" and "and baby will fall" were the initial working titles of final "opera" tracks?
"any given day" and "all for nothing" could easily be "good company" and "you're my best friend"
I think it was established that Woe was probably the working title for "The Millionaire Waltz", and was recorded during the Day At the Races sessions. Brian was talking about the song in an old "Circus" magazine as one with a ridiculous amount of overdubs.
I think that all of them are just a rumours/legends, just like "Surrender to the City".
Some of them might be a working titles of known songs (although I rather question this idea), but it doesn't mean that songs under these names were recorded at all. Anyway, if demo of "The Millionaire Waltz" exists, it won't be named "Woe".
