I've noticed at times there's a few odd little sounds that appear in sounds that sound like they shouldn't be. For example, at about 2:28 in Liar, I'm sure Roger says "right". And after the first "dun-dun-thump!" there's an "arrrr" type groan/sound. I'm sure in My Fairy King there's a sound of a click that shouldn't be there. Any other songs that have little sounds left in them? |

Some where in "the looser in the end".. There is a part there that sounds like a door closing or something shutting. I dont have the song on me to find out the exact time, but it is there,., |

The notorious beep in Drowse. I'm afraid I will keep hearing it till the day I die. |

Well how about the weird bleep in Drowse, just before the vocals start. I think it's just a guitar sound, but it's quite out of place. I used to think my vinyl of ADATR had a glitch, but since every release of the song has this I realized it couldn't be. |

On Sheer Heart Attack (the song) there's some weird voice after "i'll you want to do is disappear" and right before "know what i mean" It sounds like someone is yelling "yahhhhhh" as if it is a parent yelling for their child or something. |
Rick 27.07.2011 15:05 |
Haha, I just heard it. You're right. It sounds kinda funny. A guitar effect, maybe? |

Dancer: At the end of the song when fading out, sounds like there is a scream, like some one is being yelled at. |

In Seven Seas of Rhye... just after "and with a smile" there is a definite click before "I'll take you to the Seven Seas of Rhye". |

Sweet Lady - At the beginning, Roger's snare was left "open" and vibrates to the guitar. And some parts I thought sounded weird: Invisible Man - at the end it sounds like someone saying "f*ck" The March Of The Black Queen - at the quiet part at about 3:05 it sounds like munchkins singing BG vocals, it's just a combo/mixing effect though. I'm glad to hear someone else noticed the sound at the beginning of We Will Rock You; when I first heard this I remember thinking that someone in the band said that because they were sick of playing it doing retakes or something. The door slam in Loser in the End; heard that when I first got the CD, but did not recall hearing that on the LP. Many bands have a lot more stuff like this, especially in the 70's, like with Led Zep (kick pedal squeaking, crossover from reusing tapes). Maybe they paid less attention to these things back then. |

Great King Rat (Digital Master Series Mix) - Between 00:15-00:19, on the right channel is something like 'stomping'. We Are The Champions - In a couple of seconds in the end Freddie silently plays a piano chord. Back Chat - About 00:03 is something like 'shh shh'. The Fallen Priest - during 'we are mortal' about 01:23 and 01:42 is early vocal of Freddie (it sounds like 'dee amore') on the left channel. It seems like vocals from demo. |

It's funny because I was 7 when this first came out and we had a friend that lived down the road that used to shout my brothers name, Greg, from the side gate when he came over and it sounded exactly the same. My other brother recorded this album on tape for me one day and I always thought it was his voice shouting out 'Greg' that had spilled onto the recording. |

I like stories like that. I had the same thing with Rebel Rebel - i kept jumping up to turn the stereo down as I thought our phone (one of the old briiing briiing ones) was ringing. |

To quote myself from the other thread - " heard another one tonight, dont know how I've not heard it before coz its clear as day. In 'You and I' exactly on the 2 minute mark there is a sound in the background, like a 'shimmer' sound if that makes sense!? (I thought my mobile phone had received a text when I first heard it)Give it a listen, clearer through headphones. " Am I the only one who hears this? |

At 0.50 in Put Out The Fire. In the first chorus you can hear 'ba..' which hasn't been edited out. In the second verse it's 'baaabyyy'. |

It's not really odd, but at the very beginning of 'We Will Rock You' you can distinctly hear the tail end of someone saying something. It sounds like "ahh" kind of. Does anyone know what this is? Thanks! -Scott (California) |

Not an odd sound exactly but there is a bit of a crack in Freddie's voice on the word 'who' in the line 'Sammy boy, dont you know who you are' So glad they left it in. |

Yeah! Great thread - I love such subtle hidden things in the songs! My input into this: I Want To Break Free: The string / synth intro actually starts with a chord change before "changing" into the well known start. Check it out - play the song with volume turned loud... I Was Born To Love You (From Made In Heaven): At the very end of the song Roger ist the only one who's "rocking out"! Some kind of a drums outro... here aswell turn the volume up towards the fading out end... LuckyRocks |

I like how on Ogre Battle during the instrumental break from about 3:00 to 3:20 there's some weird gong noise and I think Roger making a sound that sounds kind of like a Pterodactyl...haha. There's also a noise in one part of Get Down, Make Love that sounds like a text message alert. The first few times I heard it I checked my phone, until I realized that it was made by (or at least I think it was) Freddie's piano, lol! |
