someone please kill that dude (?)
now in a more serious point of view, wouldn't it be nice to have a decent "complete" release of Knebworth instead of Budapest?
Assuming you mean audio, then I don't suppose it really matters which *other* magic tour release we get, as it's all the same bloody setlist! If you mean video footage, I'd LOVE Knebworth....but we all know it just doesn't exist in the archives, right? :)
I've always thought that the audio of knebworth would be best released alongside the audio of their first known live recording (with a bit of luck a college show, but let's just assume it is Golder's Green...).
Anybody willing to suggest a title for such a release? I'll start off with "easy come, easy go" lol

according to Greg Brooks, there is no full footage but half of it? (I don't trust Greg, so sue me, lol)
since I've heard that Brian suggested or wanted to release Budapest on DVD and/or Blu-ray I'd like to think that a full release for Knebworth w'd be possible (assuming that full footage is available somewhere in Queen's vaults)
I'm also hoping (dreaming) that there is nice footage available from Mannheim or Slane (audience fight included)
LOL
well, fuck Queen, from now on I'll be Bee Gees fan
(?)

Actually Greg claimed the last time I read any info from him that the footage doesn't exist in the archives (plus later he added "Only footage of the big screens exists which is utterly boring, and some shots of the audience as I recall."), and Brian wrote on his blog (sorry - Soapbox) that it wasn't even filmed. I am actually the one who keeps arguing that at least the second half of the concert was filmed and still exists (because segments from almost all songs since Is This The World appeared in various documentaries)

The evidence would suggest that Doro have the last half filmed (or at the very least snippets of every song in the last half) on 2 cameras. We can safely assume Queen productions have nothing other than the footage filmed from the screen which we all have.
Let me explain, you see I was kinda drunk and there was a keyboard right in front of me, one thing led to another and I ended up saying something I didn't mean. OK, it wasn't me even though I like Live Magic (first album I heard in full) I don't think a remastered rerelease is required. (that's a lot of res there)

don't worry, I was just kidding and last nite I was drunk too (?) lol

As far as i know, they didn't film Slane, in this video i can't see cameras in front of the stage, but the quality isn't the best, so i'm not sure at 100%. link
If they didn't film it is a shame, because it was one of the biggest gigs in Queen's history but it was another era, and another way for do the things. We are very lucky for have Budapest in film quality, and for Knebworth... who knows?
Spent a great few days chatting with Bri's right-hand man and playing the actual Old Lady!!! Yes indeedy!
It is quite interesting hearing these discussions about supposed recordings etc that 'may' have been recorded and the likelihood of others never being captured. Let's just say that, after yesterday, I am more confident that there are indeed most things somewhere stored safely and that Justin and Josh really are working their arses off. Gotta remember that some band-members do keep just about everything.....??
It'll be interesting so I'm staying quite optimistic now.
what IS the point in another remaster, its just polishing the sound and shit, yes its nice to see queen in the shelves again, but its remaster over remaster
cant we just have a nice big book with lots and lots of rare never seen before queen pictures and strange but funny stories they have to say about different events on tour, or maybe about their insane partys! anything fun really.

oooohhhh, anything u guys want to tell us? Both drunk at same time and talking abt same thing...? ohhhh :P
and i dunno, why do we need remaster?
Because Live Magic gets a lot of hate because of the way the songs are cut down, which is fair enough. It's a good listen but definitely not a definitive Magic Tour album.
