Wow, I do hope this is true. I would pay serious money to be there, if I could. I love Sydney and I happen to like Queen a bit :) |

Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
| Thistle 19.07.2011 21:19 |
Will sydney's bum be able to handle it? |
| queenUSA 19.07.2011 21:44 |
Huge, if true. |
| i-Fred 19.07.2011 22:14 |
.. So is this a show?? or a few songs??? Seriously looking at getting a ticket and flight up there, even if it is for my self.. |

Sounds like it may be a full show from reading it... 'The band will play the concert with a revolving roster of various frontmen including George Michael. George Michael, who apparently has a place in Sydney, has performed with the rock legends before and if the above vision is anything to go by then the December 31 show should be a cracker! Nui said the show will be confirmed in the next few weeks. He also revealed that pop act Black Eyed Peas could be part of the huge concert.' Shit, only wish I could be there... |

Sounds like bull.... to me |
| Tear It Up 20.07.2011 03:12 |
I hope not! |

Let's get excited about it anyway! Which TV channel will be broadcasting it live in Ireland and which pubs in Limerick will be showing it?!! |

Already been debunked at the official Queen forums by the admin. |
| cmsdrums 20.07.2011 05:46 |
I'm almost hoping it's true - whilst I want it in the UK so I can go, I have a gig with my band on New Years Eve which the rest of my band will be very unhappy about me cancelling! |

Michael Allred wrote: Already been debunked at the official Queen forums by the admin. ------------------------ I'm not saying it is true, but they would deny it until the official announcement is ready to be made. As is always the case, there is probably some truth within the rumour, for example, they may be playing NYE but just not in Sydney, or they may be playing in Sydney but just not on NYE, they may be playing with George Michael but not in Sydney and not on NYE etc..... |

I hope it's bull. I've already been to Sydney once this year and frankly, they owe me one. |

Sydney???? I'll be VERY disappointed and annolyed as hell if this turns out to be the rumoured 40th Anniversary concert. It's great for all you Aussies, but being an English band I'd expect them to hold it in England somewhere and Sydneys is WAY out of the question for me. Guild93 (I know who you are!!). If it turns out to be true, then I expect you to go buy an HD Camcorder.... ;-) |

You've more chance of the Queen being there than Brian and Roger. However,as always,i hope i'm wrong. |
| MadTheSwine73 20.07.2011 20:56 |
I'm Canadian, so in the end wherever they play won't affect me. Put personally, I think they should play in the UK! |

Rumoured New Years Eve gig in Sydney is rubbish... An item in the press in Australia has rumoured that Queen will play Sydney Harbour New Years Eve... sadly, it's all complete rubbish! I would have been booking my tickets otherwise! link |

Australia? Isn't that the rabbit-infested ABBA-loving village that thinks of Queen as "stuck up pommies"? If anything, they'll send Paul Rodgers as a solo act.... |
| Holly2003 21.07.2011 14:46 |
Can someone post the rumoured set list so I can complain about it? Thanks. |

As far as Post-freddie Queen goes, Queen never played in Aus. Which is a shame. Brian has played his Solo shows but they have never came out here as a Queen + band. WWRY The muscial was first played in Melbourne after being played in the UK before any other place. If they can warrant that, why cant they play a show here? Do they feel they wont get enough people to come out and see them??? Who cares... The less people the better... ehehehehe Gives me a chance to have a chat with the boy's |

I forgot about that one. But yeah, it was more of a show on the back of WWRY. Which, would of been GREAT to see and I would say, maybe even more enjoyable than an actual show. Due to fact its a very intimate encounter. On the flip side, big crowd, big chants.. ect ect. But all the same, they never did anything as a Queen + show. ... So... Leaves a me a little sad with the whole affair.. |
