Should Brian and Roger played some of their solo work on the Q+PR tours?
The reason I ask this is when I went to see them on both tours 2005 and 2008 in the CIA Cardiff and for younger fans like me (Im 26) its was the only way to see Queen live.
When I spoke to some of the older fans who seen Queen live with Freddie and John and they were happy Brian and Roger to use the Queen name and for them it was another chance to see Brian and Roger live, and they would have liked to see them play one or two songs of their solo stuff.
For me I would have loved if they had play Brian's song 'Driven By You' or Roger's "Strange Frontier" with Roger singing and playing drums.
Or play early Queen stuff like ''Father To Son'' or ''In the lap Of The Gods''.
I would like to know everyones views?
I think it would have been cool to hear Driven By You and (especially) Too Much Love Will Kill You.
But forget all that, I'm still pissed the USA tour didn't get I Want It All. :)
I think Last Horizon was one of the highlights of the tour. That song sounded so perfect with Roger on drums, and the atmosphere was breathtaking.
I would have loved to see Driven by You and Strange Frontier. But that's it. As it was a Queen show, not a solo show.
Without going back into the old debate again, being an older fan i still dont and didn't like the Queen & P.R.Tour sorry but it just didn't do anything for me at all, but to those who enjoyed it, well good, just my opinion......BUT ive always felt being the top artists in which they are Brian & Roger should tour together under just that - "Brian May & Roger Taylor" - and play whatever they want, Queen classics, solo classics and possibly even some cover songs, This could have been a great fun tour and i'm sure the guys would have enjoyed doing this as much as the Queen & P.R.Tour. Just think of all the songs they could play from both Queen & Solo albums, Would be amazing !
