Ok, I'm just looking to buy the damn mp3 tracks for News of the World and the others that just got released. I can't seem to buy them thru Amazon, or anywhere else because I'm, well, in the US. Anyone have a clue on how to get around that to where I can buy them otherwise?
Absolute bullshit, that if I have the money in hand that I cannot buy this stuff because of where I live...
Well, I had to order mine through amazon.uk....the good news is that they came today in the mail! :)
I still can't access the extra videos for the US iTunes. Not sure why North America wasn't included in the original release dates.
@ Michael - I really don't care to do the torrents to be honest. I've always tried to be honest when it comes to 'official' stuff and really buy it. Call me old fashioned...
Ive also tried going thru amazon.uk also, and it said because of where I live, I cannot purchase it. I about punched my computer screen when I saw it. I just think it's rediculous that because of where I live, I have to wait until fucking september to buy these things. I was upset when the first batches came out earlier in the year and QP did the same shit to the US.

I just got News of the World via file sharing last night - that will hold me until September when I can buy the whole package. Withholding the US releases for another three months really makes no sense, and only encourages illegal downloads. Let's see, I bought News of the World on vinyl, then on eight-track, then on cassette, then a remastered CD which, if it had been done right the first time, I wouldn't need to buy again. And yes I will buy it again in September...meanwhile, it sounds great!

I saw the torrent for NOTW yesterday, and I was HALF tempted, not gonna lie. I've been real good about not breaking the rules, but how QP has US and Canada slated for last to get the remasters, hell I'm half tempted. Then again...is it REALLY against the law, because of the fact that they are not released here in the States, and/or can not be purchased (except for eBay, thanks for noting that Pittrek, but again, I'm old fashioned in the sense that I like to physically GO and buy it in the record store, although the mp3/FLAC are what I'm seeking now haha) via any form of store or via the internet? I'm just sayin...

what about gettin' the mp3's from a random site and then once you have the chance to buy the physical stuff (whether you like those remasters or not) dump the mp3/flac stuff you got illegally?
(I'm not being sarcastic!)
I've thought about that as well. I have plans and money set aside to buy the remasters when they actually do come out here in the US, but I'm trying awfully hard not to download anything illegally. Just not how I like to run my shop. It's funny, there's already a thread about the next batch of remasters coming out everywhere else in September, and by then we'll barely be getting the second batch. One thing I'm also noticing is that QP is hardly doing any type of promotion here in the States (maybe Canada too, I don't know) for the remasters. If QP wants the USA back so badly as they say they want to, they'd better work a tad bit harder. You have the die hards here, and that's all great and dandy, but they need to step it up about 10 notches if they want their popularity back here. Just a thought...unless it's not that important to them anymore, then by all means, keep going the route...

I don't know who made the decision to release the remasters MONTHS after the rest of the world, Hollywood Records or QP but regardless, they are simply hurting US sales. Either people won't bother to wait and order the imports (which I will not at such ridiculous import prices) or will DL them illegally (which is what I have been doing for the 2nd wave.) I do this to simply tide me over until they're available in America.
