Simple Really, Meatloaf hasn't got the range vocally to sing most Queen Songs. As Much as I Like Meat, & I have seen him umteenth times in concert & even met the Guy, I don't think he would do justice to the songs.
I think the Nearest we are going to get is the recent Kerry (Meatloaf) & Brian tour, lol!!!
But Saying that, I would welcome Meatloaf to sing at the 40th Aniversary gig, maybe they could give him an easy song vocal wise to sing.
Yeah the "Vegas" Show.
But Meat Sang "Johny B Goode" That sort of fits his vocal range, But I meant him singing a Queen song.
I have no doubt , That if Queen Incorporated some of meatloaf's songs into their set "A- La" Like Paul Rodgers on their tours & David Bowie "at the Freddie Gig in '92" I think he could pull that off, but give him something like "Killer Queen" No-Way!!!
Again, I'm not Diss-ing Meat, because I actually Like his Music ( I go to a gig on every tour & Have all his albums) But I think that the Queen links should stop at " Brian Guesting on his tracks. Like "A Time For Heroes & the last 2 albums"
Now I'm going to contradict myself here, I suppose, if they gave him easy Queen songs to sing like "I want it all" & "Headlong" (nothing challenging vocally on those tracks) I suppose it could work, besides, Brian's not the best singer in the world & he sang them.
Brian has worked with Meatloaf on several occasions.... the Rocky Horror show soundtrack , Bat out of Hell 3 and Hang Cool Teddy Bear all feature Brian....

Agreed, Meat Loaf does tend to struggle a lot singing in tune at his own gigs, but his persona & Stage act is great. To Be honest, I'm a Queen Fan, I like meatloaf, but not to the extent of, as I do with Queen. As I have said, I go to 1 meatloaf gig from every UK tour (normally my home city Gig) My Brother-in-law is the Big Meatloaf fan. But Meat singing Queen songs, he'll struggle with them, give him an easy Queen song maybe.
Guys, I love meatloaf, but his last couple of tours have been vocally poor. Poor being the polite way of saying it. If he can't sing his own songs anymore, then he shouldn't murder the Queen repertoire.

Should have seen him in Dublin last December, on fire! Bat Out Of Hell, to be fair, was shit, but Paradise By The Dashboard Light he kicked serious ass, seriously, it was unreal. He can fairly sing when he wants to, I just think he worries too much.
By the way, I freaking love Love Is Not Real, it makes me mad that song doesn't get much recognition, seriously, one of Brian's finest hours.
