Well, i was watching the Greatest Flix II compilation last night and remembered about some questions that i have for years.
Before It's A Kind Of Magic, there's a compilation of promos, live and making of images with The Show Must Go On playing along.
In the begining of this, there's an image of David Bowie in front of something that looks like a castle.
Right after that, there's an image of soldiers with strange clothes, marching.
I always wondered if these images were Queen-related or DoRo just compiled this from other sources.
I mean, because of this David Bowie apparition, i always thought that they had videos of the Under Pressure sessions on the archives.
What can you say about this ?
Thanks, anyway :)

Interestingly, this applies almost exclusively to their work for Queen, which was utter crap. The work they did for Falco and David Bowie, for instance, is far superior. Which raises the question whether it's not Queen that's partly to blame for the horrid DoRo-Queen productions.

The work they did for Falco is even worse. Just watch Vienna Calling on the Everything DVD and see what I mean. The Falco fans hate the DoRo's way more. What's funny is the trend of re-using the same interview snippets and the same shots in every doc they did on Queen. They did that to Falco as well.
I still don't get the slam (from most, anyway) on DoRo. I think they've done great work for Queen, especially the videos.
And yeah, the Bowie clip is from Magic Years, although I agree it's odd to have it in that 'Intro' sequence for Greatest Flix II.

What? I love Rare Live :-)
Rare Live was good in that it was the first time that stuff was available. Although yes, some of the cuts were a bit much. It holds fond memories for me.
Bowie on Greatest Flix II = I think it's pretty obvious why he is on there?

Like Live Killers, it's pretty much a copy and paste job, with some horrible errors included! But then again, lots of unseen footage was used at the time, so I do understand why people have a soft spot for it.

Yeah, I know, I was only joking :) But I suppose deep down I do have a "soft spot" for it. I kinda like the IWIA intro.
I only like some of DoRo's work in the late eighties and the Innuendo promo videos, of course.
It's a big shame that they didn't included Innuendo era in GVH II, i would love to hear what Brian and Roger think about the amazing video for Innuendo.
Anyway, thanks for answering this questions, you guys are great!
The moment on 'Rare Live', during 'Keep Yourself Alive', when the video is going over and back between Brian chugging his guitar on 'The Works' tour, and Roger doing a drum solo from Hammersmith 1975, is when i turned it off, i couldn't watch it anymore, embarrassing was not the word!!!!
Embarassing? Why? I'm seriously asking.
Me, I liked the Keep Yourself Alive part because they kept flashing back and forth between 70's Freddie and 80's Freddie. I thought the contrast was pretty cool.

I have to agree with that - they wasn't on top form during The Works tour, and it was cringe worthy.... I think that's what you meant....
I think he means the clunking edit job.
I like Rare Live.
Also - no the interview isn't from Bowie's Berlin period, it's from 1987 (check his 'glass spider' mullet') just like most of the other celeb magic years interviews.
