Did anyone else hear Brian mention in that interview on Aberdeen radio that they are planning a TV special for later this year?
The link to the interview is on his website...
Yes. I tried to bring the subject on in another thread, but nobody really seemed to care, as they were discussing video technicalities of possible future releases.
As for what you bring on, Brian and Roger had also talked about it before, including the Italian interview made in February and recently made available. In that interview, they talk about Tom Chaplin and Pink as people that would do a good job with Queen songs.
On the interview you now mention, they cite a few singers that could do the job in another situation, big stadia: George Michael and Steven Tyler, as far as I remember. It is wonderful to know they are considering playing live together, even if it is still simply a hipothetical exercise.
Cheers,

Wow, I love them both, and they would do a great job. I wish it was more than a hypothetical situation.

Same here. In fact, I would love to see B+R fully back in the business, in any way, shape or form, but these two possibilities are great. I personally think Q+George Michael would be a great chance to develop once again their pop vein :)

totally agree !
and yes, it's at least curious that this TV Special possibility isn't catching much atention here or at the QOL forum.
Geroge Michael, Steven Tyler, Tom Chaplin, Foo Fighters, Matt Bellamy ... yes, even Pink. These are the kind of names I'd love to see attached to this project, because it has to be kept in mind that such celebration should be aimed to Queen fans ... not just in search of great TV audiences .... just in case they're thinking of actual pop stars to be part of this event. That'd be awful. really awful.
