I Think one thing everyone has to remember concerning the remasters....is that they are here only to replace the old versions of the queen albums that were released by EMI and Hollywood records in current circulation...their not here really to serve as something new for longstanding queen fans ...but to serve as an introduction to anyone who has never heard the music before....Queen wanted to create a new generation of fans with the Island Records Remastered releases..hence the live tracks included with the remasters from previous released material..but queen being queen like to go an extra mile...so for the die hard fans, the alternate takes, the odd demo and acapella/instrumental material was included on an extra disc, because why would a die hard queen fan want to replace their catalogue-for the subjectively enhanced remasters?-maybe,but queen like to offer and reward their fans..............but remember, the anthology of queen is happening as we speak...its been going since Live at Wembley came ou tand will continue in the future....and for every track that is used in the remasters, thats one less on the discs in a future release.....-as queen are doing the anthology as a seperate release, unlike the Freddie Mercury Collection, where it was all under one roof-....its more profitable for queen to seperately release things,as well as affordable to the average queen fan....they started with the Live Dvds and the 2 DTS Albums Dvd as well as the Singles Collection ...but then further releases were put on hold... it was put on hold as queen were coming to the end of their contracts with the previous distributors, and now that queen are being handled by a different distributor,Island Records, its business as usual, the remasters,documentaries....and then more live concerts, both video release and audio release, and then the good stuff.....unreleased material from sessions....with some more album DTS 5.1 Surround DVD-Audio discs.... but not everything will be released until Brian,Roger and John have passed..remember all audio and concert footage is theirs....they dont have to part with anything...somethings will remain private for them..,because if queen release EVERYTHING...then the cash cow gravy train ends....the audience must always be waiting to expect...Freddie taught them that.....so the fact that the extra tracks are substandard for the queen fans longstanding, doesnt bother me in the slightest...it will tide people over until the good stuff comes along.....but that may take years before it fully completes.....it could be another 5 years before queen release the unreleased, but then,it could be months away before an announcement is made......;) |

Paragraph From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia A paragraph (from the Greek paragraphos, "to write beside" or "written beside") is a self-contained unit of a discourse in writing dealing with a particular point or idea. Paragraphs consist of one or more sentences.[1][2] The start of a paragraph is indicated by beginning on a new line. Sometimes the first line is indented. |

Quote: but remember, the anthology of queen is happening as we speak.. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< We already get the Anthology - spread over 15 studio albums. A regular Anthology would be sold for maybe 50 Euro and also mostly to a limited number of die hard fans. Take the same stuff and spread it over 15 albums and the die-hard fans will buy 15 albums again.....each for 20 Euro..... |

"...but queen being queen like to go an extra mile" "...but queen like to offer and reward their fans" All credibility lost at that point. |

I shall explain myself...the anthology actually does not have 15 parts...much less than that....there is no big foldout box or one album pack to contain them all...the idea is that the fans choose what they will want and dis-regard for themselves...sorry Mr.Beach, please dont hate me....The Anthology actually comes in 5 parts........ Part One LIVE DVDs of complete concerts in archive and a compilation release (Like the thru time and space video),of partial concerts....Many legal problems stood in the way of some of the releases...ie:Hyde Park...which only recently have been overcome, others have techincal problems that need ironing out.... PART TWO DTS 5.1 Surround Sound Mixes of all the albums (But cant be released all before the albums, otherwise who would buy the albums)...all albums have been mixed and are awaiting release......future PART THREE The Singles Collection....although it was originally planned as every single ever released worldwide by Queen, deemed to big it was watered down to the top singles to chart..... PART FOUR A Definitive Master version of all main albums...This does include many audio Live concerts not yet available.....(The Island Records Master 2011)..although the masters were made almost two years previous during the singles collection release.... PART FIVE The Session Discs..(Not to be confused with the BBC Sessions, although they will be collectively released in a box on their own)...these dics cover all the unreleased material that will be included...... Not everything has been released from each of the five parts....just a taste, the juiciest pieces so far with intention to go back and include more in the future...........who knows might even get another singles release this time made up of rare original vinyl copies/demo discs/error discs...? |

I just did - it said: Next up are the last 5 albums + deep cuts 3 followed by deep cuts 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 3.1 and finally the much anticipcated deep cuts 3.2 - this way Queen fans everywhere will be able to finally own every song Queen has released in a compilation-format in addition to the albums they already own! This is meant to cater to the millions of Queen fans who don't have access to a computer, CD-burning technology or an ipod (or equivalent). Queen fans, the future is looking good :-) May you all have champagne for breakfast ;-) |

Look at QP in the last 6 months - Stormtroopers exhibition - plenty of new videos Album re-releases with new material Days Of Our Lives documentary with plenty of new footage And it just came out that Brian said they're working on a Rainbow DVD I think there is ample reason for the cynicism to slow down ! |

After many many many years of waiting, we have finally a reason to be optimistic. But at the same time, I will believe that they're planning to release a Rainbow DVD when I'll hold it in my hands :-) |

Have you ever dreamt that you finally buy/get something or you meet somebody or accomplish something and it feels so very real and then you wake up? It sucks, haha :) I remember many years ago I saw a "Back to the Light" cassette in a record store before being aware of Brian's solo career. I was like 10 years old and my mom didn't buy it for me. I just caught a glimpse of the cover and weeks later I remember dreaming I had bought Roger's "Back Light" solo album!. It felt very real. The cover was just like Brian's record but it had Roger in it. I wouldn't get Brian's solo material until 3 years later or so (5 years later for Roger's). It wasn't that easy to get records for me back then, being 12-15 years old and having to rely on my local CD shop. |
