Hi Guys i am interested in your thoughts of the recent live shows, I went to Nottingham, which seemed to be full. The support band were very good "Vintage Trouble" even though the singer thought he was "James Brown."Kerry appeared in a massive green dress like a prop for Dr Who,Brian looked great in his early 70's outfit. The show was quite slow at times,Love Of My Life fell rather flat nobody likes a good sing song anymore!Queen numbers got the best response from the rather old looking audience and every one went bananas for Rock You/Champions at the end.Tie your Mother Down went down well for the encore and at last we were rocking. My mate who went with me was very impressed but i thought one and a half hours was a bit short.I did enjoy it but to be honest i have seen much better and the cheap and nasty programe rather summed things up ,we are no longer Premier League. What do you think?

I went to the Glasgow show last Thursday, and I was very impressed and moved throughout, although I have to agree with some of your points. I thought that Vintage Trouble started out very well, but quickly became samey and YES, the singer did think he was James Brown (who I don't care too much for, btw). Their lead guitarist was great, made a stunning start with a massive bluesy solo, and the drummer was full of energy throughout. Maybe what spoiled it a little was that there was this drunk guy in the front row wearing a yellow Freddie jacket, and he was making an absolute focal point of himself (the singer was encouraging this to begin with, but eventually told him to calm down). Needless to say, this imposter Freddie was thrown out before the real show began lol! Yes, Kerry did look like something out of Dr. Who at the beginning, but by the time that effort was gone, she looked simply feckin stunning, and I really loved the early 70s look from the Doc. The show moved fairly quickly for me, I don't agree with your assessment there, but 90 minutes was way too short, I was enjoying myself so it could have been another 90 minutes for all I cared. The Glasgow crowd went bananas for LOML, the first part of the show which had me in tears, so much so I couldn't sing along haha. For me, the Queen songs were the best parts, although Kerry did get a standing ovation for Defying Gravity, Somebody To Love and Anthem so the appreciation was well balanced AFAIC. It's by far the best show I've been to since Paul McCartney last summer, and both Brian and Kerry were on top form. I agree that the programme could have been better, but "nasty"??? It had some great pics in it!!! Finally, it was Kerry's tour and not a Queen tour, so to say that WE are no longer premier league is unfair IMHO. It was never going to be an out-and-out rampant rock show, indeed it was a very well thought out stage production. At the end of the day, It was what it was. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would love them to come back.
Hi
Just back from Manchester gig and it rocked.
Gimme Some Loving Spencer Davis song played,Crazy Little Thing,We Are The Champions - these guys did not want to leave the stage.
I expected a good show but got an excellent one.
The support band were in the foyer afterwards to pose for pictures & sign autographs.
Cheers
Yeah, I had a really good time at the Glasgow show as well. Btw Thistle, got your message.
Anyway, in the spirit of things, I thought I'd throw up a couple of pics from the show: link link link link link link
Good times :)
Adam.
I too was at the Glasgow show. I bought the ticket on the strength of Brian's name and glad I did. It's not Queen, it's not QPR, it's not Brian solo show, it's what it is. And what it is is 90 minutes of fantastic entertainment and the chance to see Brian play and pose to his heart's content. Oh and Kerry Ellis is fantastic too. Managed to meet the great man after the show for the first time ever (been waiting 37 years!) and what a gent. Top night.

Cheers for letting me know, will be in touch soon.
I was at the Sage, Gateshead and i have to say, it was practically faultless for me. Now yes, i was in the front row so that was always going to make it a bit special with our hero, at times merely 4 feet away !
'Love of my life' was actually a highpoint for me and , wait for it.....the feelings 'i love it when you call'- it worked brilliantly. Kerry's vocals were practically faultless and wor Brian was very relaxed and obviously enjoying himself.
A great night and i hope they do it again sometime.

All I can say is that Brian & Kerry were on fire tonight. I've been to a few of the dates on this tour & I must admit that tonight the atmosphere was electric, the crowds, giving a standing ovation, at the end of the songs really early on in the night (not like the rest of the tour where we people are very british & don't get out of there seats right until the end of the show)
You could also clearly see, because of the reception, Brian & Kerry were having a better time.
Brian's guitar solo was longer than normal
they did "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" & also Ty Taylor from support band "Vintage Trouble" re joined the stage to perform an inpromptu version of "Gimme Some Loving" with Kerry & the band. Also if I was not mistaken I thought "Tie Your Mother Down" was a little longer too.
I really hope the rest of the tour will be like tonight.
