Squidgy 05.05.2011 06:23 |
I just cannot for the life of me understand why they think putting on live tracks from albums they have already released is a good idea and does anyone really want an instrumental version of Bicycle Race? |
A Word In Your Ear 05.05.2011 06:29 |
Looks Like QPL have done it to us again!!!! Q= Why do they put on all the "Live" tracks that are on the live albums?, A= to hopefully enspire the "New to Buying - Queen Album population" to go out & then buy the live albums. Marketing Purposes. If the bonus track listings are as follows, they could have done better, since GB at the convention mentioned that "Universal" wanted some better stuff on the next batch of releases. NEWS OF THE WORLD 1. Feelings Feelings (Take 10, July 1977) (HOPE It's a different take, to the version we have already heard) 2. Spread Your Wings (BBC Session, October 1977) (Yawn!!! We've all heard it) 3. My Melancholy Blues (BBC Session, October 1977) (Wake me up please!!!! heard it!!) 4. Sheer Heart Attack (Live in Paris, February 28 1979) ( Heard It!!!) 5. We Will Rock You (Fast) (Live in Tokyo, November 1982) (Same again, heard it!!!) new stuff = 1 out of 5 (or 0 out of 5) depending on "Feeling, Feelings"? JAZZ 1. Fat Bottomed Girls (Single Version) (we have already got) 2. Bicycle Race (Instrumental) (if it's the same mix as the official karaoke version, already got ) 3. Don't Stop Me Now (With Long-Lost Guitars) (GREAT!!!! SOMETHING NEW) 4. Let Me Entertain You (Live in Montreal, November 1981) (Yawn!!! Already Got) 5. Dreamers Ball (Early Acoustic Take, August 1978) (GREAT AGAIN, SOMETHING NEW) new stuff = 2 out of 5 (or 3 out of 5) depending on "Bicycle Race"? THE GAME 1. Save Me (Live in Montreal, November 1981) (Yawn!!!) 2. A Human Body (B-Side) (Yawn!!!) 3. Sail Away Sweet Sister (Take 1 With Guide Vocal, February 1980) (GREAT!!!!) 4. It's A Beautiful Day (Original Spontaneous Idea, April 1980) (GREAT!!!!) 5. Dragon Attack (Live at Milton Keynes Bowl, June 1982) (Yawn!!!) new stuff = 2 out of 5 FLASH GORDON 1. Flash (Single Version) (Yawn!!!) 2. The Hero (October 1980… Revisited) (GREAT!!!!) 3. The Kiss (Early Version, March 1980) (GREAT!!!!) 4. Football Fight (Early Version, No Synths! - February 1980) (GREAT!!!!) 5. Flash (Live in Montreal, November 1981) (Yawn!!!) 6. The Hero (Live in Montreal, November 1981) (Yawn!!!) new stuff = 3 out of 6 HOT SPACE 1. Staying Power (Live at Milton Keynes Bowl, June 1982) (Yawn!!!) 2. Soul Brother (B-Side) (Yawn!!!) 3. Back Chat (Single Remix) (Yawn!!! if it's the single version, hopefully it will be a new remix) 4. Action This Day (Live in Tokyo, November 1982) (Yawn!!!) 5. Calling All Girls (Live in Tokyo, November 1982) (Yawn!!!) new stuff = 1 out of 5 (or 0 out of 5) depending on "Back Chat"? Pestgrid: You done a great job indeed. All you need is to push the button and release it. I guess you would make lots of Queen-fans very happy. |

99jaystang 06.05.2011 15:34 |
Why would they leave off "We Will Rock You (BBC Fast Version)"!!!!? WHY? I'll go and hid in my box and hibernate now till the next release :( |
Mr. Bed Guy 06.05.2011 16:54 |
"Cool Cat" with David Bowie would have been nice...... |
dysan 07.05.2011 04:23 |
Cool Cat (w/ Bowie) - As a Bowie fan too, I can tell you that what we are getting in these reissues is amazing. I should imagine Queen asked for that to be released (after all is was due on the album) and Bowie said no. His contract changes next year so maybe it will come out then when he whores his vaults out. |
PrimeJiveUSA 07.05.2011 17:02 |
I agree...I cannot BELIEVE that they wouldn't give us the BBC "fast version" of WWRY! I'm seriously pissed! |
zephead2112 10.05.2011 07:42 |
Having not really bitched about the bonus content (or lack thereof) of re-releases so far, this is undeniably a case of….in best Punch voice…. “that’s the way you do it!”; link P.S. Further to the posts above, I'm more pissed off about the exclusion of the BBC version of 'It's Late'. With The Sun promo, we would then have had all the tracks from the '77 session in best ever quality. |
dysan 10.05.2011 08:06 |
Didn't The Sun CD miss the slow bit of WWRY? I honestly thought the relase of that meant we were close to a complete set of BBC stuff coming out. |
zephead2112 10.05.2011 08:19 |
Ahhhh yes you are right, I stand corrected! |
thefallenqueen 31.07.2011 09:28 |
Are there any other remasters planned for release after the final 5 studio albums? Though the bonus tracks so far were almost sh... , some of the remasters sound excellent, they have done very good work imo, I would be appreciated to listen to a remaster of Live Killers as the love of my life single that has been released as a bonus really sounds great. If you have furhter information please let me know.... |
