Just a quick one to say that having watched the You TUbe tour hearsal footage recently added to Brian's website, it's great to see him clearly very relaxed and enjoying his 'proper' job; he's joking throughout, having fun, and at ease with the rest of the band. if only he relaxed as much on stage and in the media/press!!

Yes he looks very relaxing and joyful and also the rest of the band. But these guys and girls are not exceptional good looking hmmm :-) , except for Brian, Rufus and Kerry of course. I miss Spike here.
Looking forward to see them... must be a great experience
Couldn't find it on his website - here it is ... recommended viewing, for the pure fun .. link
Nice to see Bri having a good time. I like the fact that the musicians are regular-looking folks.
Perhaps a bit relentless with the camera-ready madcap fun, but nonetheless I hope very much that the tour is successful if just to keep Brian enthusiastic about creating. Did anybody else get the impression B didn't completely like being referred to as Kerry's guitarist around 3:50? :)

Mrs May will be busy with her own shows. She and Greta Scaachi are doing a play about Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. So Brian might be worried about her buggering off with Greta.....
"I thought Brian looked very old and tired in the footage"
If I was balls-deep in Kerry Ellis every night, I'd be old and tired too. Whatever her shortcomings, she certainly seems to be a hard worker.
People can say what they want about Brian May...
If you want to see a major rockstar/legend behaving like a respectful and kind colleague towards other - not as well-known and adored - musicians then you have to check out that clip.
Wonderful footage...

Outside of his political rantings, Brian has certainly always comes across as a down to earth and gracious and kind person. But, it's not like this is candid peephole stuff. They put together some behind the scenes footage with the goal of selling concert tickets. How else do you expect him to act?
Three things:
Ticket sales must be very poor for this tour.
Brian is trying to dispel his current image of a sour-baked, humourless jerk.
Brian has been peddling crap under the Queen name for some time now, telling fans if they don't like it they don't have to buy it. I'm taking him at his word and I won't be paying £37 to listen to Brian prop up some Xmas panto singers while they do karaoke versions of Queen songs and whatever other guff they've cobbled together.
Based on this footage - I have a feeling the final product is going to be a great evening. I wish I could go to it.
As far as the comments on Brian looking "very old and tired." There's really no need for that at all these days.
Brian needs to have his hair made over to its original color and have it shaped up just a bit, then add a pair of shades and BAM - rock star legend on fire.
There ... I said it.
He just needs a bit of help from a stylist and he'd have his full mojo back so fast you'd be impressed. There's no vanity in it ... most all stars use a stylist before a big event.
And here's another reason to do it ... tickets need to be sold - and every little bit of effort helps in the "team sport" department.

Very eloquently stated, Zeb.
