Thank you ever so much to everyone who voted for me so far!
I've realised that this competition may be kind of unfair because many
people have a wide network of friends who vote for them no matter what they
do. Outsiders don't stand much of a chance.
While there are some very good designs, there are also people in the top 100 who have simply posted a picture of a
Queen album cover (or the logo) and have dozens if not hundreds of votes already.
To me this is not design.
This means that when the competition is judged Brian and Roger will not
get to see the designs of people who genuinely tried to come up with a nice
design.
I ask that, if you're interested in a fair balance, please vote for a well designed -t-shirt.
Of course, I'd really like you to vote for mine (I'd be happy just to
get in the top 100!) but voting for any properly designed t-shirt would be
good.
Here's mine. I still need 36 votes to get in the top 100! link
all the best

I agree with everything you said ...
usually happens when the decision is based on votes.
Just thought that none of the 20 selected have good quality makes me ashamed,Brian May is going to see them!
Here's mine, if you want to vote for it :) link
It is a bit of an odd way to do it, some of the ones not even in the top 100 are really good, clearly a lot of thought and talent has gone into them, and some at the top are basically existing designs but on a t-shirt shape. Good luck to all other entries. =)
My agreement. For example, I don't like the most of designs in the top 10 at all and think that voting with Facebook or Twitter isn't good choice... But it's only my opinion.
I agree! It's such a shame...i really wish there could be a way to make it more fair. And i love yours, by the way. :)
I wonder if there could be a way to make some of the designs from the "outsiders" into shirts, then swap or buy them personally, like an event. Because there are SO many designs that haven't reached top 100 that i would buy in a second, and it would still be a great way for designers to know that someone out there was wearing their shirt.....but i don't know how it could be done.
(And, by the way, here's my design...i need 42ish votes to get into the top 100: Queen's 40 Year Reign
I like your design and I voted for it, Davidraphael. I also voted for other designs by Queenzoners who promoted them on fb or here on QZ. If that is the rule and you want to win, you should promote your work on facebook. If you don't promote it you will lose.

. But sometimes it's really not that easy, but it sure helps. Like in my case, i have around 110 friends and have updated my status about this contest every day, but i've probably only gotten 10 or 15 votes out of 40 that were from my FB friends. :o
cloverforfreddie, that happened to me too, I have 100 friends on facebook but they have not voted because they did not understand too well or because they were all on vacation ...
So I am trying to promote it externally, although it seems despicable.
I think right now I have no chance of reaching the top 20, not even the top 100!
It is a unique opportunity in life, I was excited, but the truth is that now I'm disappointed with the entire organization. link
David, I love your design but I won't vote, I'm sorry. I don't like these applications messing with my Facebook or Twitter accounts: "Allowing this application to connect to your account may give Talenthouse App access to your Direct Messages (DMs), or the ability to Tweet on your behalf." It's unfair for the contestants but it's also unfair for the voters.
hello
This is my project.
I'm Queen fan and graphic designer at one :)
I hope that You like It.
please VOTE me - thanks! link

I have to say, as the competition progresses, I'm quite appalled at how 'fixed' it is. There are so many good designs that can't get into the top 100 and yet some like this can: link
No offence intended if the designer is a child, but I mean, someone shakily scribbling 'Queen' on a piece of crumpled up paper with a colored felt-tip pen is not really what I would a 'proper design'...
Fairness, I feel, will not prevail....

What the guy says is true: "As long as the voting system depends on how many facebook friends you have I won't put much more effort than this." The sad thing is that people voted for it not allowing a real design enter the top 100.
Pilastrum wrote: Silken, that design is a criticism. Have you read the description? haha
Of course, that should not win, but it's very clever.
:)

Yes, of course I understand and also think it's very clever and that's why people voted for it but, I mean, since it's in the top 100 it should be taken out so to make room for another design.
Think that everything said here is spot on - but guess that is just life - there are some really great pieces of work that answer the brief that won't make it and others that will - the crayon design guys entry and Belle's comment here has summed it all up pretty well. I was going to put my design link up here as well, but am not electioneering, as I think the die has been cast regarding voting and I am more interested in the points and comments that this blog are making, so here's a design that hasn't got many votes and probably won't make it but no link - good luck to everyone it was a challenge and fun to take part in, may the best design win. I think and hope Brian and Roger will pick something that is a real winner, answers the brief, celebrates the band entire and their anniversary. Thanks for reading if you got this far - and now you can kiss my ass goodbye :-)
