I heard from someone that supposedly John Stuart has acetate studio version of the song "Hangman" and alleged he had promised her to lay out the network. if QPL do not release it officially. today April 20 and he keeps a deathly silence. I think he has no acetate, no one did not sell to him this version. |

You begin your address in the third person - alleging "promsises" I had made previously: "I heard from SOMEONE that supposedly John Stuart has acetate studio version of the song "Hangman" and alleged he had promised HER to lay out the network" Yet when challenged by our Partick Thistle friend: "Thistleboy 1980 wrote... When did he say he was going to make it public?" Your reply was: "And are you full bastard, you know, he said it to me private, do you understood, whore?" I am sure you can see my dilema - on the one hand, you claim it was to your (girl) friend that I made this "promise", and yet on the other you claim I "said it to (me) in private". I am confused. I do not know you, or your girlfriend, or what on earth you are trying to say to me, but, being of the gentlemanly persuassion, I will give you the answer you so richly deserve. |

If it exists, it probobly cost me more, than you paid for your house. So let me get this correct. You want me to purchase with my very hard earned cash - to pay for a very expensive and exclusive work of art, which you feel somehow you should be entitled to - and that I should hand a copy of this artifact over to you for free - because you deserve it? Thistle 20.04.2011 17:00 |
Yep, I don't get why people think they have the divine right to get things that someone else has forked out for for free. I, like the thousands of other fans here, would love if it someday, somehow, saw the light of day - but I can accept that you have it, we don't, and that's it. It doesn't ruin me knowng that! Besides, I'm just grateful for the plethora of tracks, such as the BBC sessions, you have allowed us to grab. |

To David G: This news is not mine, but came to me from a good friend. I hope he does not mind me sharing it here. From Classic Rock magazine: "Roger Taylor has confirmed the existence of three tracks recorded together by Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson, and the Queen drummer is currently tidying them up for release during the coming months. The first of these is a demo version of the song State Of Shock, later released by The Jacksons, and featuring the vocals of Mick Jagger in 1984. The friends also recorded two further tracks, entitled, Victory, and There Must Be More To Life Than This." |

I love trolls like this one; posting in English (and apologies here to all the good QZ'ers who don't have English as their first language but do an incredibly admirable job of making themselves understood) and making themselves even more unintelligible than their poorly reasoned arguments. Unless, of course, this is someone *pretending* to have poor command of English and a poorly reasoned argument........? Hangman exists in the format John says it does, simply because he is a trusted and respected source / collector of long-standing; there is no reason for him to make the story up as he does not stand to benefit from doing so in any manner. Those who believe otherwise are clearly those who would be of the mind to do such a thing themselves had they the thought of it first themselves. Personally, I'm glad John does have it and that its safely in his care. Clearly, had it been in the band's or QPL's care, we would still not have heard the results given the paucity of the bonus tracks compiled on the new re-issue of "Queen". John has served the QZ community with alacrity in all the time I have had any association with this forum and at cost to himself in terms of time and money without any thought of reward - we all thank you for your time and effort over the years John and hope that this does not put you off from making any future gifts and contributions should you choose to do so. |
Fireplace 21.04.2011 06:56 |
I predict that in the coming years QZ-goers will make it their personal goal to make sure that everyone gets the acetate except our pesky little friend. Think I'll give my copy of the Silver Polar Bear Assasin acetate another spin..... |
john bodega 21.04.2011 08:18 |
Meh. Far as I'm concerned, the thing is safe where it is. Do I think he should hand it over so everyone can hear it? For sure - it's not even his song, people want to hear it, and the official channels are too lazy/fucking stupid to make any kind of move on getting unheard stuff like this out the door. However, it's just not that big a deal - and if it is safe where it is, and it is being looked after, then what's the fuss? People also forget that Hangman's a shitty song anyway. There's a long list of things I would rather hear. Legally, it might be okay that he has the acetate, but morally I still don't think it's cool - regardless of whatever 'finders keepers' justifications one might have, working materials like these were not meant to be in ordinary folks' hands. The only reason that I find it acceptable in this instance is that QPL is a totally ineffectual, useless entity that would be willing to let stuff like Hangman gather dust for eternity. The day that they make a decision to start selling me what I'm willing to pay for, is when maybe I'll feel a bit different. |

"John has paid good money for this, it's HIS investment" Pffff... like I said, I'm glad for him that he's preserving it for posterity (if nothing else) but it wouldn't bother me one iota if it was stolen or confiscated. It'd be his fault for sinking money into something that he can't use and something that shouldn't have been in his grasp in the first place. I've rethought it a bit, and saving it for posterity is all well and good - but one copy of something is a lot less secure than 10000. Some people have never heard of "taking one for the team". |

It is a record. It will not change the world or make much of a difference. Here is what the real issue with 'Queen World' is as I see it. The band is essentially dead and has their time is over. These 'reissues' are a joke as many up here have said, and there is no real reason to be excited about Queen and any future releases. If they were serious about their legacy then they would be doing more than releasing a shitty series of singles box sets and rehashing their albums, AGAIN, with most of them not really sounding much better than the originals or other reissues (I am making this assumption on what others have said about the sound quality - I don't own any and WILL NOT buy any of these). So to go back to the original comment, yes I agree that JSS was joking but there is a point to what I said. Carry on. And JSS, you do rock. |

In my opinion, you are the most talented guy here, no one can touch you. Heck, that's not even an opinion - it's the TRUTH. Everyone else can just understand, accept, and move on. |

Funny Fatty should say that. I keep hearing Borat: "Thieez eez my seester...." And "Goodbye sadly clown" could very well be the title of, let's say, a new Deaky solo album. Actually, it's brilliant! |

Josh, You're right in many ways, however, the facte remains that, despite QPLs continuing attempts at pissing long-term fans and collectors off with sub-standard re-issues and "product", the smallest shred of hope still remains in the minds of *US* as people who are looking out for something of rarity value. Queen's very best days were the era 1971-1977 in the studio and *ANYTHING* that might just add to the weight of that cannon is or would be absolute gold. Something as trite as "Feelings Feelings" just shows how easily Queen were able to make cracking rock songs and make them sound alive, fresh and exciting. If "Hangman" were to appear then it'd be a massive piece of the overall Queen jigsaw and QPL should have seen to this issue years ago. They haven't and didn't and we are all the worse off for it. It's John's to do as he pleases and with any luck, one day, we may get a low-fi MP3 of it available on QZ - we most lkely won't and I have no problem with it. QPL could have removed all debate very quickly and simply but they are (were) too greedy and lazy to be bothered. |

I have a quick question, is Goodoldfashionedloverboy the user who was known as community? |

I'm pretty sure he isn't. Take a look at this: link This was the first thread he started after his namechange. Note how the premise of the topic is absurd to say the least and not really in line with Community's previous (also quite weird) actions. See that 4th reply there from Goodoldfashionedloverboy, about how Community is his nickname? It used to say the user who posted that was Community, and it later changed into Goodoldfashionedloverboy as well. Get what I'm saying? The thread starter was Goodoldfashionedloverboy and he was called Goodoldfashionedloverboy then and yet Community replied as Community and the reply later changed into Goodoldfashionedloverboy. It's confusing but I remembered this. |

It leave the big questions of why And where is the real community? |

emrabt wrote: then changed his name to match the thread posters? ==== I don't know that part either. I just know it changed and I don't know what the hell went on and nobody seemed to care. |

His nickname is Goodoldfashionedloverboy now but there are two Goodoldfashionedloverboy's and the second one is fake. |
emrabt 23.04.2011 05:32 |
so the foul mouthed incoherent Goodoldfasionedlover boy in this thread is real? |
Hangman_96 23.04.2011 05:34 |
I should agree, very strange things happen on QZ. Maybe there are some QZ's errors which have got three different nicknames into the one. Take a look at these two topics... it's very interesting what the hell is going there? link link |

If you mean the thread in which we're talking right now then yes, here we have the real Goodoldfashionedloverboy. ================================ Okay thank you, so the real one is making crazy posts like these, demanding rare stuff and swearing? Community never used to be like that. |

emrabt wrote: Okay thank you, so the real one is making crazy posts like these, demanding rare stuff and swearing? Community never used to be like that. ==== If you look at the two topics which I've linked above, you'll understand that the fake Goodoldfashionedloverboy registered much time later than the real one. And so fake was writing bunch of the same posts in those two topics to gather the same quantity of posts as the real Goodoldfasionedloverboy. Then he changed his nickname and the avatar pic just like the real Goodoldfashionedloverbouy to make himself look like him and then he's started his deals to make the jokes to the real Goodoldfashionedloverboy. |
Hangman_96 23.04.2011 05:48 |
Now that all seems to be clear. |
emrabt 23.04.2011 05:58 |
that makes sense, but there's no way those repeating posts would add up to 545. |

emrabt wrote: that makes sense, but there's no way those repeating posts would add up to 545. ==== Agreed, but those two topics are not the only ones in which he was writing. He's been writing in many other topics which could add his posts up to 545 now. |

Pretty weird how this thread seems to have disappeared from the General Discussion while the last post was today. I wonder if this post will bring it back. And it didn't. |

Wow, so this topic is still alive? I thought it was deleted a long time ago. Brings back good memories. |
