hello, everybody Queenzoners Does anybody wrote a letter to Gary Taylor of well-known GT? What do you think about his answers, Are you satisfied with his answers? |
The Real Wizard 06.04.2011 13:27 |
Absolutely satisfied. Despite some earlier doubts and disagreements, he has turned out to be a force for the good. |
Jazz 78 06.04.2011 19:38 |
I agree with you Bob! For me, in the last few months, Gary has become a very good friend and I'm always satisifed with with his answers. A true gentleman! |

Goodoldfashionedloverboy wrote: On my questions GT answers templates Lets get one thing straight here. You send me an email a few times a week, asking about what is in the archives, and why isn't the rare stuff released, and why do we have to keep having the same product and songs re released all the time. And I keep telling you the same answer because you ask the same questions. Although you come over as very rude and demanding, I allow for this because you are from another part of the world where English is not your first language, and you might not think you are that way....call it a communication problem if you like. I still take the time to respond to you, and many others who ask questions. That alone can take up a lot of time in my day while I'm trying to work, and help on Queen projects from varying sources for various projects. You might not like my answers because I don't give anything away, or impart private knowledge of the band and product, but the work of Queen is their business and not for me to pass on information to anyone who asks for it, because they want to know what is in the archives or what is going to be released officially. That will be released via official press releases and what the band talk about as their future plans. As a huge fan (in appreciation not size), I am in a very privilaged position, and my loyalty and commitment are with the band, and the great team of people who work around them, from the guys in the studio and Richard Gray to my old chummer and partner in crime, Greg Brooks. And before anyone else says it, yes, I'm property of Queen Productions.....lol. |

GT goodoldfashionedloverboy won't understand that and still keep asking, he is short a few screws, it's not just bad english, he is the only person I’ve ever seen that manages to argue with his own double posts. If his history on here are anything to go by, he will keep sending you the same 4 questions over and over until you tell him to stop, then send you lots of cryptically abusive PM's. You are a much better man than I, I would have ignored him long ago. |

Haven't asked Gary anything directly but I have enjoyed reading his posts in this Forum. He has indeed been very helpful. The last few threads from Greg Brooks have not been so bad either, based on the first impression everybody got from him (being an ass with other forum members). |

Having (I think) met Gary and after speaking to Greg at the exhibition my impression was that they were both genuinely nice guys. I don't agree with all the bad blood towards the archivists around here. |

@Dr Zoidberg I am aware of what's been posted previously by and towards GB, but I'm not going to get dragged into reams and reams of argumentative threads. I'm not interested in who started what. His more recent postings have shown that respect works both ways, with no abusive comments that I can remember in his last thread. :) |

Does anyone know how to contact Gregory Brooks, for example by e-mail? |

Envy breeds anger. Anger begets hatred. Hatred breeds humiliation by pointing out errors that are not exist |

I don't care what you think about my English. I am not interested in your opinion. |

What, he's not the president or prime minister or in any mediums which i often use a lot Firstly, who is he? Secondly, since you are going to throw statements in which I may consider rude, how important is he then? |

Secondly, since you are going to throw statements in which I may consider rude, how important is he then? ===== Alright. Gary Taylor is a moviestar. He had his biggest succes in 'Happy Times in Tirol' but his career went a bit downhill after that. The best job he can have now is being archivist of Queen, a job he has to share with Greg Brooks, who regularily asks him to 'sit on my face for a while'. |

He's an important person as he works with all that rare archive stuff and he knows all about studio and concert materials. You can see his name written on Queen CDs from the last years. |

You had originally said something to the effect of you didn't understand all the angst directed at Queen archivists, so i was just trying to point you toward understanding. But as it turns out you understood all along - you just didn't care! :-) |

Now that things are more civil around here, our suggestions and questions are more likely to get noticed and responded to. Now our messages are no longer shrouded in torrents of abuse, maybe we'll see some great products made with us fans in mind in the future :) |
