NOTE, My comparisons are based off the 93/4 EMI release I have. So results may change depending on which version of the album you may own.
News Of the World.
Unlike the other releases coming soon, The copy I own for this album is a Japanise Mini LP release from early 2000s. What I can say is that, that album sounds amazing. For the 2011 release, I doubt any improvments will be present.
NOTW Bonus
Most likely the some/if not all BBC recordings including.
We Will Rock You (fast)
Spread Your Wings
Houston 77 tracks
My Melanchony Blues
Other
We Will Rock You (budepest?)
We Are The Champions (Wembely or Budepest)
Feelings, Feelings ?
Jazz
From the 93/4 release, This album sounded the worst. So this album may sound the best out of all the 2011 releases
Jazz bonus
Maybe some stuff from Live Killers. The bonus for this album will be hard to figuare out due to the fact that a lot of material from this album has a short life span from the time of its release
The Game
unlike may of the 93/4 releases, The Game was the best sounding one of all. So chances are that the release for 2011 will have simular fate to NOTW
Game Bonus
A Human Body
Live versions of
Another One Bites the Dust
Save Me (most likely Hammersmith 79 or Monteral 81) Hope for the first
Need your Loving Tonight
Play The Game
Crazy Little Thing Called Love (between Hammy 79, Monteral 81 Milton Keyes 82 Japan 82 Live Aid 85 or Wembely)
Flash Gordon
like the Jazz album, the 93/4 release was muffeled and muted. So this album may sound the best of the remasters.
Flash Bonus
What I really want is the whole album without the diolouge from the movie but thats dreaming
Most Likey
Flash and The Hero film versions
Flash and The Hero live versions
Hot Space
This album sounded above 'meh' for the 93/4 release. That said I think this is the most underated Queen album around, but thats another topic. I think this album will sound better, but I dont think it would sound the best.
Bonus wise
Soul Brother
Feel Like
Staying Power from Keyes 82
Back Chat from Keyes 82
Deep Cuts Vol 2
I think this volume will feature more Deacon and Talyor than May and Mercury due to the larger input in the songs and sounds. Thought I think that Track number 13 will be It's Late (thats providing DC Vol2 has 14 tracks on)
marvinp01 wrote: you think they would include It's Late from Houston 1977? Since the tapes were being changed to the cameras, there could still be an audio recording?
--------------------------------------------
I highly doubt that It's Late was even played that night and neither was Spread Your Wings for that matter. The Prophet's Song (Reprise) wasn't even played in Houston as the guitar solo spot for Brian May was done in standard tuning on his guitar (other shows he would do the solo spot in dropped D tuning as they also did The Prophet's Song Reprise) as they segued into "Now I'm Here".
For Deep Cuts 2, the single edit version of "It's Late" would be nice.
Or for a NOTW bonus.
And wouldn't a proper "Cool Cat" with Bowie's "bum-bums" be nice?
"A Human Body" and "Soul Brother" would be fantastic, if for no other reason than for a more general audience to listen to their awesomeness.
Trying to think of possible Jazz bonus cuts. Non-live cuts, I mean. Were there different mixes of Bicycle Race?
I think it will be commercial and not for real fans.
But i would like to see Need your loving tonight (live), It is late (live), and perhaps some other live trecks which are not officially issued live. (White man, my melancholy blues, Silver Salmon). But for this albums (The Game, Hot Space and Flash Gordan), there is not much choice in my opinion these are the three worst albums.
I do not expest anything shocking.
