I posted a copy of the "Sheetkeeckers" bootleg LP on YouTube, just for the heck of it.
For those who don't know, it was recorded live at The Rainbow Theatre, London, England, March 31st, 1974, during the Queen II Tour. It's not the complete concert, with "Doing All Right," "White Queen" and the "Rock and Roll Medley" not appearing on the LP.
Lastly, I think I cut the fades at the end of Side 1 and the beginning of Side 2 so it flowed straight through. Also, the program I used to make the wmv, in order to post it, was pretty primitive, so the odd cut between the tracks is noticeable. Sorry. I did much of tidying up years ago, so if I ever transfer it again from the vinyl, I'll leave it as is.
I also didn't include Sweet's "Ballroom Blitz," which for some reason appears at the end of Side 2.
Anyway, here is the link: link
Enjoy!
Magic?
I have an account and after a few posts I got a notice from YT that I could "now post videos longer than 15 minutes".
This was the first test. I kept thinking they'd stop my upload or say "you've exceeded your time limit!" but no, it went up last night fine and dandy.
Seems weird, but I'm not going complain!
Yeah, it seems odd. I don't know what the criteria is for being allowed to exceed 15 minutes, but for some reason they let me.
When I click Upload to load a new video, it says this at the top of the screen:
**Upload Video File**
**Congratulations! Your account is now enabled for uploads longer than 15 minutes. Click the Upload button below to select a video.**
And it lists the parameters: They can be in HD, can be no bigger than 2 GB and "a wide variety of formats."
I had video get blocked worldwide for copyright, which was odd, but there you go. It was a BNL track, a rare promo remix. It got nailed the moment I posted it, so I took it off. They didn't delete it, they just blocked it, so it couldn't be viewed anywhere except by me. Yet, I have since posted other BNL tracks with no problem.
I think YouTube's policy is "Delete first, ask questions never!" I've heard videos get deleted even if there is no copyright infringement at all, that it's entirely original, inoffensive material, just because someone else was a jerk and complained, knowing YT would pull it immediately.
Basically, sometimes people just suck.

I think once you've had tour channel for a while, it lets you upload videos longer than 15 minutes.
That description says there's an overdub noticeable in "Liar," where it goes "...Time after time--Liar!..." but it doesn't sound like an overdub to me on the LP I have. It just sounds like Freddie got the 'Liar' in without finishing the second 'time,' in order to keep the chanting going. Since this is one of the oldest Queen songs and was played at probably every concert by that time, it was probably something he got good at after years of practice.
I also hear the "So watch out!" at the beginning of "Son And Daughter," but without the visuals, I have to take someone's word for it that Freddie was nowhere near the mic to allow it to pick up that line.
Anyway, I'm not an expert on their live recordings, so I'll defer to the more learned on this subject.
And obsolete or not, I'm keeping my "Sheetkeeckers" LP. It sounds great and being a bootleg, the flaws ad some charm for me.
Great work on creating a sonically better edition, though!
