As Queen embarks on their first tour in 25 years too celebrate their 40th
anniversary, they are looking for aspiring talent to become part of their
fabulous history - a designer to receive global recognition for his or her
work.
The selected design will be sold on the official Queen site and Mercury
Phoenix Trust site. The designer will not only be put on the world's stage
and promoted to Queen's 7.5 million Facebook fans, but they will also know
that their work helps fund the fight against AIDS worldwide as all
proceeds will be donated to the Mercury Phoenix Trust, the charity set up
in Freddie Mercury's name.

The Official Website for Queen (link states that they are going on tour this Spring in their "About the Band" section:
"Brian and Roger take Queen back onto the touring circuit for the first
time since 1986 this Spring, joined by former Free/Bad Company singer,
songwriter and musicial Paul Rodgers playing concerts across the UK and
throughout Europe. The tour covers over a dozen countries over a six
week period, followed in July by 4 major outdoor concerts including
London’s Hyde Park on July 8, a venue they last played in September 1976
when playing a free concert, they attracted a record audience of
150,000 to the Royal Park."
I now know that this information is not true, but thought you should know that is where that info originated.
Apologies for the confusion, all the rest of the info is correct.
The headline was not about the tour, it was about Queen looking for aspiring talent.
The introduction to the post containing the tour info was taken, as I said, from their official website, which does not state any date of when that info was posted. You say 2005, and I believe you. I wish they would update or change/remove that info so others, like myself, do not get confused. lol!
Once again, I apologize for the confusion. It was not done in bad faith. It was due only to the outdated information on the official site.
