Every die-hard fan is as sick as hell of the constant compilations by QPL - it's the same old stuff, over and over... etc. So I propose an idea which I think will appeal all the fans on Queenzone. An exclusive 14-track CD, with one track representing each studio album from Queen I to MiH - for me, Flash Gordon is a soundtrack, so it's out of the picture! Here are my fourteen tracks. Submit your own lists and see if they match with my list. And NO Hollywood remixes or bonus tracks (which sadly means stuff like Mad the Swine and SWAFIB and the adequate-to-horrible dance remixes are forcibly omitted) - the vinyl pressings are the track lists you need
Queen I - Doin' Alright
Queen II - Seven Seas
SHA - Stone Cold Crazy
ANATO - '39
ADATR - Millionaire Waltz
NoTW - We Will Rock You
Jazz - Fat-Bottomed Girls
The Game - Don't Try Suicide
Hot Space - Put Out The Fire
The Works - It's A Hard Life
AKOM - Friends Will Be Friends
Miracle - Party
Innuendo - The Show Must Go On
MiH - title track
Let me get this straight. You're complaining about Queen releasing the same stuff over and over again - and then propose to compile a set with previously released stuff?
If it's hard to choose, narrow it down then...
NO tracks that were released as UK singles or B Sides!
Great King Rat
March Of The Black Queen
Stone Cold Crazy
Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon
The Millionaire Waltz
Fight From The Inside
Dreamer's Ball
Rock It
Dancer
Machines
One Year Of Love
My Baby Does Me
Ride The Wild Wind
Mother Love
Yeah, I'm not including "Flash Gordon" either, nor am I including "Cosmos Rocks", depsite the FACT that it say's "Queen" on the cover and is an official Queen album.....
bigV wrote: Any Queen fan knows that Queen have 15 studio albums. You can't disqualify "Flash Gordon" because it's a soundtrack.

Er, it's 16 actually. As far as QPL are cocerned, "The Cosmos Rocks" counts, regardless of whether some people on here don't like it....
Pim Derks - I wasn't entirely clear. I meant constant greatest hits compilations. You'll notice my list has a few album tracks. Now hopefully you might get the point. Also check the initial post, since it said might please Queenzoners. That means it's open to criticism

9 of those are already on Hits comps lol
That aside, isn't this what the "deep cuts" albums are getting at?
No matter how you dress it up, it would just be another re-hash of something we already have.
I did the US Greatest Hits from 1981 with five tracks that were US singles but either missed the Top 40 or flopped:
Another One Bites the Dust
Bohemian Rhapsody
Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Killer Queen
Fat Bottomed Girls (single edit)
Bicycle Race
Under Pressure (was on original US and Canadian issues)
We Will Rock You
We Are the Champions
Flash (single mix)
Somebody to Love
You're My Best Friend
Keep Yourself Alive
Play the Game
---Bonus Tracks---
Seven Seas of Rhye
Tie Your Mother Down (single mix)
It's Late (single mix)
Don't Stop Me Now
Need Your Loving Tonight
Under Pressure (1992 remix for Classic Queen)
Greatest Hits II (US version as I imagined but following Classic Queen mold with songs that were US singles)
A Kind of Magic
Body Language
I Want to Break Free (single mix)
Hammer to Fall (single mix)
Innuendo
Breakthru
Calling All Girls
Radio Ga Ga
I'm Going Slightly Mad
I Want it All (single mix)
Princes Of the Universe
The Miracle
These Are the Days Of Our Lives
One Vision (single mix)
It's a Hard Life
Headlong
Who Wants to Live Forever (album version)
The Show Must Go On
@ NOTWMEDDLE
I didn't really understand that last post of yours.... is the point of this post (silly as it is) not about having a compilation of the more obscure stuff instead of yet another hits collection? Yours is a hits collection, with bonus tracks of yet more "well known" material. Don't you think another hits one kinda defeats the purpose?

It said homemade compilations, and I technically made my own. What's the gripe?
I'm not the fat oaf on Family Guy at least.

There's no gripe, I just didn't understand why you'd suggest something that's essentially another hits comp when the whole purpose was to achieve an alternate to that. There's not even anything in what I've said that would suggest that I have a gripe - I just meant I didn't understand your thinking behind it.

So you're saying I am? Nice. Good to know that as soon as someone raises a point about something you've said, you'll resort to insults instead of engaging in discussion. What's YOUR gripe?
