I have two copies of Get Down and the quality of the vinyl on both was not great also the sound quality on coloured vinyl/picture discs always seems to be sub par.
This is the second copy of mine, too. The first had Magic Tour photos on the sleeve, which looked similar to the Wembley artwork, and was on black vinyl. The sound was horrendous! But I made a HUGE mistake on it. I sold it for £25 (although that was profit!) and later saw the guy I sold it to make over £100 on ebay with it. The coloured vinyls don't really appeal to me anymore, but I found this to sound better than the black vinyl.
Be honest, is £40 a fair price on it?
I know it has sold for quite a bit more and don't want to make the same mistake I did with the other!
The thing with bootlegs is that you don't know how many have been pressed so there is no way to judge how rare they are. The pricing of records is very fickle, you should just put it up for auction and see what you can get.
I think £40 is a pretty fair price though, it's not like you can pick it up in any regular record store.
hello
i have this bootleg in silver with cardbord sleeve.
I buy this item 2005 in a japanese recordstore in germany. the price was 32 € (27 GBP).
look here: link
the price for the black vinyl in this shop was 40 € (34 GBP)
I think your ebay price for colored vinyl is ok
