Jan 1 on his soapbox....
..very well worth reading. It's nice to know how important this session was to him on his musical journey.
Queue the complainers who insist Brian never has anything interesting to talk about on his website.... oh, wait a minute..
Thank you very much for mentioning it, Bob. Very interesting reading. I always thought Smile was the real seed for Queen, in some ways even better than "Queen I" and light years ahead of Larry Lurex.
I (compulsevely) follow Brian's website for (music) news and had missed that one in the middle of some badgers, foxes and blackholes. Maybe that post had fallen into one of these for a while!
Cheers,
Ogre-
So, Brian is linking to Dave Fuller's Youtube channel. Ha! That is great.
Thanks, Sir GH. I forget to check Brian's site and much of what is on there now is very sad to me. I've always been very empathetic toward animals. Brian is taking the weight of the world on his shoulders with these animal causes. It must be very upsetting on a regular basis for him to be made aware of all the cruelty out there. I think we should support him. If any of us had his level of exposure in the press and world fame, we might attempt a similar level of involvement because there would be a greater chance that maybe we could make a difference.

I know, right? :)
I noticed that. But didn't Brian complain about their music on YouTube at some stage?

yep, several times. Last time when he let us know how good had been doing that recent gig with Roger Daltrey without the subsequent Youtube clips. And it's somehow contradictory, as he's not only posting links to Dave's channel now, but sometimes posting to Youtube links with Queen funny/imaginative covers too.
I think the logic is quite simple. When things have a certain standard or quality he likes them to appear on youtube. And when he's not really happy with the results he would prefer them to not appear on youtube.
But - never forget both he and Roger accept a site like this with the seeding of all those concert-files. You won't find this with many bands. Some sites even forbid links to download platforms and swapping of mp3 files.

Agreed. Nicely put.
