I have the 1992 UK CD single for Barcelona which contains the b-side "Exercises In Free Love"...
i've dug around to find out more about this unique version, to no avail. I have the solo collection which contains the piano backing track of EIFL mislabeled as "Ensuenno (instrumental)"
BUT, the version labeled simply "Exercises In Free Love" on this single is different from the others. It's not Freddie's vocal, and it's not Montserrat's live takes. It seems to be an early, somewhat ad-libbed vocal take from Montserrat over the pre-Ensueno (EIFL) backing track.
is it known that this "single version" of EIFL is a unique version? It's running time is just about exactly 4 minutes. I always thought EIFL was Freddie's falsetto version.
Any information anyone has is appreciated...
Without checking (and shame on me for not being 100% positive), but I believe there were two versions of this track released as B Sides in the UK:
One with Fred and one with Monsterfat.
well, that would account for it... thanks so much for the reply.
and shame on you (but also a grin/wink/thumbsup) for the Montserfat, surely unintentional, typo.
