A question about live versions of a song. First, I'm interested in knowing your favorite live version of "Love of My Life." Actually I guess there are two parts to it, a version where he actually sings all the vocals and a version where the audience sings half or most of it. So far my favorite version completely sung by Freddie is the Rock Montreal performance from '81. They audience isn't singing like he was used to in South America so he reacts by singing it incredibly beautiful himself, I love it!
So far my favorite version with the audience helping out is one of the live concerts in Japan in '85. I copied it down and played but didn't note the exact night in the file name which drives me nuts...but the audience sings along so beautifully that Freddie says it's "fucking wonderful." Sao Paulo might've been louder but they were shouting along to the song instead of singing along to it. Those are my pics, what are yours?

loml.is a song i dont really like.
the only time i have really enjoyed hearing it was ,secc 2008(for obvious reasons).
even when i saw queen in 82,it was not a song i liked that much.
maybe 2008 was a bit special for me.
but as i say.a song i dont like to much.
now im gona get my balls cut of by die hard fans lol.
For singing the whole song definitely Rock Montreal. For the audience it would be Rock In Rio second night for sure. The 250,000 people sing it wonderfully.
Most of the stuff Queen + PR did I didn't really like, with the notable exception of the very original take on Hammer to Fall, which I thought was great!
