As we all know, Queen performed at Wembley for one last time february 29th 1990. Freddie was, although noticeably ill, a true trooper and kept on dancing and singing till WATC where he chose to just sit down and play the piano while Roger did the vocals. It's quite an iconic piece of Queen history, not only because Freddie was ill and it was the last one but also because for the first and only time ever Freddie belted out the vocals in the opera part of BoRhap. But, oddly enough, no bootleg has showed up (AFAIK). Greg, can you shed some more light on this? |

I am Freddie. I didn't die after all and I will be performing my comeback gig at the Fleece and Firkin in Slough next tuesday, i've fired Brian and Roger though, and hired Dimebag Darrel and Keith Moon. Those guys never did anything anyway. John will be on Bass, it's not really Queen without him. Elvis and Michael Jackson on backing vocals. Please come please. |
the dude 1366 30.12.2010 11:55 |
The one embarassing part of the gig was right after Freddie insisted on playing "Delilah", he wanted to play it again. God that was embarassing enough the first time, especailly when he started meowing. They put that in the bloopers section of the blu-ray. No one knows for sure if he was drunk or not. Guess we'll never know |

Each and every one of you are talking out of your arse-cracks. Here's why: 1 - My ticket stub says February 31st 1990. I was there. If anyone can remember correctly, Lord Lucan introduced the show on Shergar. Marilyn Monroe then came out on James Dean's shoulders (he was dressed as Superman and she as Stewie Griffin playing the part of Darth Vader) for a rendition of WWRY. 2 - Freddie did NOT do the meowing part of Delilah, due to a sore throat. Milli Vanilli did this part, along with the singer from Boney-M (RIP). 3 - The howlers part on the deluxe Japanese triple 3D Blu-Ray boxset with obi and bonus 10x 7" vinyl recording of the entire show I have cheated a little. Most of the footage, in fact, comes from knebworth '86. Tie Your Mother Down is also sourced from Earls Court '77 and is without the sound drop on the mic. 4 - Freddie Mercury was actually played by Gregory Mullen from One Night of Queen For A Nation. So there. And, FAO of Community, this will officially be released in Russia along with the double DVD of both nights at Earls Court on 37th Julember 2045. There will be an eclipse of the blue moon. |

No, Bobby Farell is dead. Didn't the guy from Milli Vanilli die a while back, too? (Suicide?) |

Wow, I've never been more confused by a thread. First, I thought the last Queen show was in 1986 on the Kind of Magic tour. Is this entire thread a joke or just half of the replies? Second, do copies actually exist and for some reason it's more entertaining if people don't want to share, or are those sarcastic replies as well? Somebody please clear this up. |

Wow! An out-and-out demand to upload a show that doesn't exist lol As for the comment about being a queen fan for two years, it's still fairly obvious that this is a joke - ffs, James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, Lord Lucan.......Freddie being "played" by someone else? If you can't tell from that.....'nuff said. |

I've been a loyal majestic Queen fan for 6 years. I quite found this thread amusing. It has similar nuances to a little fictional ditty I found on another Queen site. It was very detailed, and very colorful. It would have been quite cosmic to see Queen perform again. If Freddie wasn't in such critical condition around this period, he might have done some sort of concert if not an entire scheduled world tour. |
Angelo West 09.01.2011 17:15 |
Might I just add to this little vignette. The name of the person who began this thread, does in fact have the acronym "joker" in it. So that should clear up any interiour puzzlement between some newbies. Although I may be a newbie, it only a champion who couldn't get into his old account. Just to repent myself from any messanger shootings if you will. |

Who has Royal Albert Hall December,14,1969 on bootleg? The setlist is: 1.Precession 2.Come unto These Yellow Sands 3.Black Man 4.Hangover 5.Bipolar Bear 6.Keep Yourself Alive (featuring Eric Clapton on guitar) 7.Jesus (featuring the Jackson 5) 8.Guitar Solo (featuring Chuck Berry,Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan, who fainted) 9.Big Spender (featuring Chuck Berry on vocals) 10.Jailhouse Rock (featuring Chuck Berry on vocals) 11.The Cowboy Song 12.Bognor Ballad 13.Bring Back That Leroy Brown 14.Veiny Feller's Master Stroke 15.Nevermore. 16.March Of The Black Queer 17.Odour Battle 18.Seven Seas Of Rhyme 19.The Profit Song (featuring Eric Clapton on guitar) 20.Stone Cold Undies ENCORE: 19.Stairway To Heaven 20.Purple Haze 21.Baba O Riley 22.God Save The Queen (with a guest appearance of Queen Elizabeth II) Featuring Tim Staffell and not John Deacon. Brian also broke a string in the Guitar Solo so Chuck Berry had to take over for the rest of the performance until the encore. After the guitar solo, 39 would of been played, which was designed for Dylan, but due to his injury, this song was unable to be played. Dylan's fatal injury was due to a breakdown from the fans reactions after the guitar solo, who screamed and threw tomatoes at him. Bognor Ballad featured some extremely orgasmic backing vocals from Staffell. This is overall the greatest show in their career, with Freddie Mercury singing in falsetto throughout. I also heard they were going to be at Woodstock but they were scheduled for after Hendrix and Brian was too scared |

Has anyone got any of the 1996 one off comeback show recorded? I remember the bit after Action This Day where Freddie bent over, held his nose and fired a Brussels sprout out of his arse at one of the audience members. The outrage that caused. People thought you could catch sexually transmitted diseases by touching food back in those days. The backlash over that was totally over the top. I liked how Freddie dealt with it: "It's only a bloody sprout, people get so excited about these things." |

I can't believe so man you you have lsited the setlist from the 1990 gig and missed out that they did 'The Fallen Priest', but with Russell Watson and Charlotte Church singing it, as Freddie didn't feel he could do justice to it live, and then Montserrat pulled out as she wouldn't do it without Freddie. You must remember, it was right after John's 10 minunte bass solo which replaced Brian's usual guitar solo as he broke all six strings on the Red Special. Oh, and Phill Collins played drums on half the set because...well, because it was 1990 and that's was 'his thing' then with other bands. |

How come no one has mentioned Brians 8 minute ukulele solo in the middle of Bring Back That Leroy Brown. I seem to recall he did a little bit of Invisible Man and She Makes Me in there as well as his incredible and always welcome 'Hickory Dickory Dock' arpeggios. |

Unfortunately, he couldn't remember the lyrics and went on to a vocal improvisation sounding a bit like GDML, which caused the crowd to throw him dead salmons (everybody carried these at Queen concerts in those days, in hope that they would play the song). Nice try, though! |
