I haven't seen a discussion like this in a while so I decided to make one :)
If you had to choose a favorite concert from the Jazz/Live Killers tour what would you choose?
For me it's 11/17/78, 12/7/78, 2/20/79, 4/19/79
Personally 11/14/78 in Providence because it was my first show ever but when I'm working out I'll put in Toronto, Chicago or Montreal from December 78. Excellent recordings and the band at this point were well into the tour and well oiled. Great performances!
It was an awesome experience for a 13 year old boy!!! My cousin was thier lighting director at the time and that made it more exciting for me to see him work that rig even though Freddie had a few words of discontent towards him at some point during the night. No recordings that I know of for that gig but the Providence show in 1980 was great too and Freddies voice was in top form that night!
To Jamster111... Freddie's voice from what I remember was in good shape that night. Just like you hear it on the bootlegs from that period. Listen to 11/16/78 and that was the next show after Providence and that's pretty much what I experienced. It was quite loud too as we were sitting under the PA which was flown above the stage.

We could even call LIVE KILLERS or something..

Genius!
Is that Jim Beach's phone on your Caller ID?
It must be a job offer :D.

Already had that - he can clean his own toilet - the tosser!
If they wanted to release Live Killers (under the rule that it has to be all from the European 1979 leg), they should've either picked Cologne, Frankfurt, or one of the Paris gigs. Those gigs are probably the strongest overall on the leg!
Though I agree with Brian May about his statement of recording Live Killers on the Crazy Tour. That would've been beyond awesome.
Kalamazoo Nov 11th......
Yes, again, I know there are no boots that exist. But, it was MY fave LK concert.
Gsynth.....and others.....the Montreal '78 gig was the best 'similar' boot I own, perfromed less than a month from the Wings Stadium gig. Freddie's deep down vocals near the end of 'Dreamers Ball' is like being there again.
