This new cd is causing a lot of controversy and confusion among fans. Many claim it's fake, while others claim it's real. I want to hear what you guys think.
I think it's real. I don't know what these "fans" were expecting from UNFINISHED DEMOS!!!!!
probably real, the same as what Queen did after the death of Freddie, but i can unserstand the confuseion, he is dead afterall, but who can sing like that guy hey? no one
Talk about being fashionably late.
Anyways, I'm pretty sure it's real, 'cos Sony would have a LOT to lose financially by bringing in some person to impersonate MJ. Jason Malachi has already categorically denied any so-called involvement in this album, despite what some conspiracy theory nuts are promoting otherwise!
They had professional audio analysts and several of MJ's past studio collaborators come have a listen to the Cascio tracks, and they've all vouched for the vocal's authenticity.
I know I'm late. I just decided to make a separate topic for no reason.
These "fans" say that any true fan won't buy the album (those silly people).
I like the song Breaking News. I don't get why people hate on it so much.

In the intrest of fairness, i also did a "breaking news ISN'T michael" video.
"People like you make me want a REAL moderator"
Yeah, ditto. I've seen you during one of your less-than-lucid moments, it was hilarious. Sue me for being sick to death of the marketing-obsessed society that (more or less) has Michael Jackson's blood on its hands. You can't sit there claiming to be a fan or admirer of him, and at the same time have any respect for the people that are milking his memory for every cent they can get.

I've had a listen. His voice is in there. There's also a shit-ton of lousy backup singers and a lot of very "now" sounds. If this is his legacy, then I feel sorry for the guy and his family.

If i had a bunch of recordings from a dead singer i'd milk them for as much as i could, however i wouldn't want a load of
money, i feel guilty taking Christmas tips from people, i'd just want to see how much i could get away with before people find things insulting and stop buying.
And the Michael Jackson vocals thing, I'm not really interested, it's him, it's crap, he's been terrible for over a decade. But I do like to see how many people will believe, and be persuaded by these things with no evidence.
"he's been terrible for over a decade"
No he hasn't. Invincible is one of my favorites. Matter of opinion, I guess.
What I don't get is why everyone loves the Thriller album. That album is so dreadfully boring it's only better than Off The Wall. I guess I just like his later works better.

Never been too keen on his early stuff, and his later stuff could border on dreadful. You rock my world wasn't too bad, but that's about it.
Bad was the first album i ever owned, that, dangerous and a few tracks on history, are in my opinion his best, the very peak.
invincible was 40 minutes of howls grunts shrieks and pants.
"it's him, it's crap, he's been terrible for over a decade"
See I don't know about that. I always thought that if there was one thing he could offer the world, it was his voice - and he blew it by driving himself to lip-syncing because of his ridiculous stage show. Every time I saw him on the TV, I found myself praying that he would fire all of his retarded sycophants, dancers and sidekicks, get together with a good live band, and make some decent bloody music.
I agree that he was terrible for a long time, but it's not for a lack of ability - it's neglect, plain and simple. Too much time spent on excessive nonsense (just watch This Is It for a good example of what not to do with a multi-million dollar fortune) and not enough time spent thinking about the music.
"Invinsible was 40 minutes of howls grunts shrieks and pants. "
Whatever you say. I happen to like the album for songs like Cry, The Lost Children, Privacy, Unbreakable, Heaven Can Wait, Speechless, and 2000 Watts.

not being able to move your top lip to sing because its been pulled too tight, does that come under lack of ability, or neglect?
I might be making myself look like an ignorant fool here, but didn't he also get lazy with writing, I’m sure invincible
has about 7 people writing each track, where bad had Jackson plus 1 or or two others at the very most.
He should have taken a "back to basics" approach

yeah it's nothing against you, i just don't like the songs, to me it wasn't really "Michael Jackson"
more a Lazy bunch of scraped together tracks with no real effort put into them. You
feel differently, to be honest it's not my kind of music.
You guys must be deaf or something. That is not MJ singing , its an impersonator , its OBVIOUS its not him singing that.
========================================================
and that's FACT, because after making the biggest music deal in history for MJ's demos, the first thing i would do is release a song by a sound alike onto the internet where all the fans of Michael jackson can hear it for free, wasting the millions of pounds i spent, that's great business sense, Sony music and the jackosn estate are this stupid.
Prove it.
