Hello, I'd like to appeal to GT with my questions if he let and he can answer. GT, please attantion |
matt z 29.11.2010 14:15 |
**Attention** Anyways, who or what is GT anyways?... i've asked this on a prior post, but no one seemed to answer. Is that the Moderator of sorts? or a Queen Productions rep?... All i know of are Richard Orchard and Greg Brooks the old analyst (whose book i own) ... sorry, but my days of breathing and bleeding Queen stop waaaaay before knowing their production crew....et al.. Just a question. No need to get overly sarcastic about it... (unless it's a funny response) Thanks. |

Gary Taylor. He's a fan who also 'works' for QPL alongside Greg Brooks. The difference is that Gary is a thoroughly nice bloke, very amenable (within his boundaries!), polite and neither up himself nor arrogant.... |

Is it intresting to me what is meant by the word back catalog? I hope GT can answer this question detailed response |
paulosham 30.11.2010 17:30 |
Back Catlogue is two words and it means all of the works previously released by a recording arist. |

Is it intresting to me: hangman and other tracks will be released in next year with renew remastered studio albums ? |
GT 02.12.2010 06:20 |
Sorry guys, I haven't really got the time to reply and get involved with various topics on here. There is lots happening here workwise on the Queen front, and all my time and energy are spent with these things I'm afraid. Maybe in the future some kind of two way dialogue can occur on this forum. |

The question I forever ask to myself: is it forbidden to leak material from archives, GT? |

Is Australia a small country? No, it isn't. But, compared to Russia, it's not even half its size, but Australia still isn't a small country, as its surface area is sufficient to be larger than 189 independent nations (96.92% of them). Is a 102-YO person a baby just because there are older people? Is an 800-pound bloke anorexic and dangerously underweight because there are others who are fatter? Same here: while GT's not an idiot or a wanker unlike GB), he's still a carrot dangler. |

Gary has givin' some very usefull information so far concerning the LIVE Killers treads and more.... I must say I was very sceptic too at the beginning finding Gary's way of talking widentical to Greg's. Let's give the guy a chance now and wait what's happening. Though I do not really what to expect from the future comment by Gary I still have a bit of faith. |

The question I forever ask to myself: is it forbidden to leak material from archives, GT? Yes it is forbidden by anyone who works for the band. The music and videos that are in the archives belong to the band and nobody else. If the band want you to see / hear it then it will be released for all to see / hear officially. Nobody here would want others to see uncompleted audio of their band, or inferior quality videos of themselves, especially if you are in a worldwide known band and have good quality control over what does get released. Obviously some stuff over the years has leaked, especially audio tracks, from conventions etc, that you all know about. And the recent tracks that David Richards played in Italy is a good example of people recording things, when they are asked not to. Another example is the recent TYMD footage from 1977. Although it was filmed by an audience member, parts of it were used on official releases, and the band would of given permission to use this footage on official product.....it's good to see it was finally issued by the guy who filmed it, but it was his property after all. Fortunately, unseen video footage we show at the conventions has not been recorded and put 'out there', and that means we can show more in the future. If it got to a point where it was recorded by a camcorder and shared, then that would probably be the end of that idea. We would love everybody here to see and hear what is in the archives, but that is not our right to do so, or decision to make. As fans ourselves we would love more unseen recordings on audio and video to be made available for all to see, but that is up to' the powers that be'. |

What quality master tape concert Earl 's Court 1977? Is true that in a two-day presentation at one venue Earl 's Court in 1977 had problems with the microphone Freddie? Which audio concerts there is in the archives of Queen Productions, those that are released officially does not count? |

Again, this is the property of the band, and is not for us to give out information like this. Most of what you ask is known by other collectors. |

Does that mean it's better not to share, sell taped footage or something else recorded with QP, because their claiming the rights on footage straight away? That's the way for people hoarding their material right.....?..... and so on more and more footage get lost over the years passing. |

If it got to a point where it was recorded by a camcorder and shared, then that would probably be the end of that idea.. This view seems a bit bizarre -if I,m reading right, you are saying that if people record video shown at conventions and then make it availabel to others, that particular video will not ever be officially released? If that is what you mean, that must mean that Earls Court, Houston, Hammy 79 are all never going to be released? It seems a strange thing to have the view that because we have access to a 5th generation copy of something with grainy footage and unmixed audio, this will never be released properly by the band as their opinion is that they don't need to as we already have it?!? I think they've already blown that theory by re-releasing Montreal when we already had several versions, and of officially released product at that. |

GT wrote: Again, this is the property of the band, and is not for us to give out information like this. Most of what you ask is known by other collectors. Ah but that's not true, is it? A few years ago GB offered a full and frank exchange of info. Queen fans would tell him all the info they had and in return GB would tell us what live recordings were available in the archive. Instead, he took everything he could, and provided in return a crappy list that looked like it had been out together by a 7-year old. Once bitten twice shy, as the saying goes ... |

I'm asking you as I believe that you should not lie to me and everybody else ======================== Hey mate, I think you don't quite understand what GT is saying. Of course he know's the answer to your three simple questions, but he isn't allowed to tell about. ========================================== What quality master tape concert Earl 's Court 1977? Audio masters or video masters? TV feed is very poor actually. Masters should be in good condition referring to what has been released. (absolute greatest footage DVD, ANATO 30th DVD) ========================================= Is true that in a two-day presentation at one venue Earl 's Court in 1977 had problems with the microphone Freddie? Could be the TV feed only. Audio masters are probably okay. ========================================= Which audio concerts there is in the archives of Queen Productions, those that are released officially does not count? Make your conclusing with the list Greg provided some months ago. You don't get the details I'm affraid. I'm still very happy with the details about the shows in 1979. Although Missman already had the answer in most cases. |

Before you ask, I will show track list concert on 20.11.1974 Procession, Now I'm Here, Ogre Battle, Father To Son, White Queen, Flick Of The Wrist, In The Lap Of The Gods, Killer Queen, The March Of The Black Queen, Bring Back That Leroy Brown, Son And Daughter, Keep Yourself Alive, Seven Seas Of Rhye, Stone Cold Crazy, Liar, In The Lap Of The Gods ... Revisited, Big Spender, Modern Times Rock 'n' Roll, Jailhouse Rock. is Track list from the concert 19.11.1974, such as a concert from 20.11.1974? It is true that in 1992 released officially on VHS killer Queen was in the studio version? |

Imagine Roger and Brian are leaving the world of music, and on this occasion will releases the entire audio and video archive. Here even the GT and BG remains without job. |

19 years since the death of Freddie and the QP has not released anything decent, well, not counting the Live at Wembley on DVD full version, not castrated on VHS, Rock Montreal, Live at the Bowl, and on VHS version of the concert live at the Rainbow Well, box set Freddie Mercury. Well, perhaps everything. Where's the rest? tribute and the Great Hits of the first and the second part does not count |
