Show Must Go On is a collaboration. Brian did contribute more than the others, but he wasn't the sole writer, as opposed to Roger on Days of Our Lives, who indeed wrote both chords, melody and lyrics (maybe the arrangement was by all four, but the songwriting is by one in that case).
Plurach...just LOVE YOU for listing "Play The Game" on the Freddie side...oh my I love this song...but it seems like with most Queen fans it's just...meh.
I have to say that I would agree with most of the choices given and that i too also think Play the game is quite an underrated song, sang live its brilliant

Not with this Queen fan. I ADORE Play The Game. I think it's one of Queen's most gorgeous songs and the perfect way to open The Game. :D :D :D
Five from each member, in chronological order. It could change at any time, but for now, this is how I see it:
Freddie:
The March of the Black Queen
Killer Queen
Bohemian Rhapsody
Somebody to Love
Bycicle Race
Brian:
'39
The Prophet's Song
Sleeping on the Sidewalk
Sail Away Sweet Sister
Save Me
Roger:
Modern Times Rock 'N Roll
Fight from the Inside
Radio Gaga
These are the Days of our Lives
Heaven For Everyone
John:
You're My Best Friend
You and I
Who Needs You
In Only Seven Days
Another One Bites the Dust
Some of Freddie's greatest songs:
Bo Rhap
It's A Hard Life
A Winter's Tale
Seven Seas
Somebody to Love
Great Brian songs:
Now I'm Here
Headlong
We Will Rock You
'39
Hammer to Fall
Good Roger compositions:
Days of Our Lives
Breakthru
A Kind of Magic
Radio Ga Ga
The Invisible Man
(Side note: I'm In Love With My Car since its Roger's highlight on ANATO)
Fab John tracks:
AOBTD
Friends Will Be Friends (yes, I know Freddie's co-writer but it still has hints of John's writing in there)
IWTBF
You're My Best Friend
[And they say Deaky didn't write great hits... that selection disproves it completely]
Freddie:
Somebody to Love
Princes of the Universe
A Winter's Tale
Seaside Rendezvous
It's A Hard Life
John:
Spread Your Wings
Who Needs You
Another One Bites the Dust
You're My Best Friend
You And I
Roger:
These Are the Days Of Our Lives
Rock It (Prime Jive)
Radio Ga Ga
Breakthru
I'm in Love with My Car
Brian:
Save Me
All Dead
Who Wants To Live Forever
Hammer to Fall
Headlong
Freddie:
March Of The Black Queen/ Bohemian Rhapsody/ Love Of My Life/ You Take My Breath Away....and a tie between Nevermore/ Flick Of The Wrist/ Play The Game
Brian:
Save Me/ Father To Son/ White Queen/ It's Late/ Who Wants To Live Forever
Roger:
These Are The Days Of Our Lives/ A Kind Of Magic/ Radio Ga Ga/ Rock It/ Tenement Funster
John:
Spread Your Wings/ I Want To Break Free/ One Year Of Love/ You and I/ Misfire
Freddie:
1. My fairy king {I know it's a very typical pick out of all the hardcore queen fans]
2. In the lap of the gods {I love both versions, but I especially love the first one}
3. Love of my life
4. It's a hard life
5. Life is real {song for lennon] {I know the line "Loving like a whore" can be seen as quite offensive, but then look at all the grim material both Fred and Brian wrote in their heyday]
I know I could have chosen the march of the black queen, lilly of the valley, and even borhap. This are just songs that just seep deep down in my soul. This are the special little masterpieces that i'll treasure forever.
Brian:
1. Someday oneday
2. 39'
3. Long away
4. All dead, All dead
5. Sail away sweet sister
Brian wrote a plethora of beautifully written ballads. I just dove into the barrel and chose the ones that really got to me.
If the list could be slightly extended to seven or eight songs. I'd probably choose Leaving home [such an underappreciated number], las palabras de amour, and who wants to live forever [especially live].
John:
1. You and I
2. Spread your wings
3. In ony seven days
4. Need your loving tonight
5. Misfire [love this little jamaican ditty]
That doesn't mean I dislike your my best friend or even I want to break free, I just chose the ones [again] that get to me the most. I personally believe another one bites the dust was a quadrupal effort, just listening to all the sound effects during the middle eight, makes you think everyone must have joined in. John probably wrote the lyrics and brought in the little bassline he heard from chic, then Freddie gave it something new and fresh with his fabulous vocals, and Roger and Brian probably contributed in their instrumental departments. Sorry for that long rant!
Roger:
1. Drowse
2. Tenement funster
3. Fun it
4. Rock it
5. Moder times rock n' roll [especially live when it's thrown in with the encore]
Oh shite! I feel liek a fool. I left out on Brians list [white queen, father to son, save me] such significant songs.
Well let's just switch 39' with white queen. I don't think i'm fit for these threads. I can't seem to make up my mind. I just love everything Queen ever did. Even Don't lose your head or Party.
