I'm still full of turkey and pumpkin pie and very slightly drunk on autumn riesling. Hope everybody enjoys the holiday tomorrow. Be safe if you're driving.
Want to wish my fellow Canucks a Happy Thanksgiving from a slight ways afar here in New York city where I'm vacationing until Thursday. Have a great Thanksgiving, you hockey-loving beer-guzzling maple-sugary lot you, eh! :-D
Wow. I never realized that Canada celebrated Thanksgiving (this much) earlier than the United States. So it's on the second monday of October rather than the fourth Thursday of November in Canada? Do Canadians get the day off tomorrow, as I believe is common for the Friday after Thanksgiving in the U.S.?
Anyway, have a great Thanksgiving all of you out there celebrating it.

Yeah, they're actually different holidays all together in some ways. Canada's is traditionally associated with the end of the harvest while the US version has something to do with winter and pilgrims and an insane level of shopping the next day that often begins in the middle of the night. They get the Thursday and Friday off, and we get the Monday off. But we all eat too much turkey and such with family, which is the really important part.

You're kidding me! I was sure you were a girl. Holly. :P
Anyway, that man is not wearing a toque, long johns or ice skates. That's a heck of a hole to start in. ;)

Actually, only a rare few 'get' the day off, though many 'take' it. :-/
Happy Thanksgiving to my neighbors to the north!

I stand corrected. Well, it's actually more like roll around full of food and drink corrected, but you get the point. :)

lol. I do get the point. But... wasn't trying to correct anyone. I'm sorry if it sounded that way. I just find it funny how many people manage to go Christmas shopping the day after Thanksgiving when they're supposed to be working. Kids have off from school that day, though, and traditionally, that's when I put up my Christmas tree. :-)

And I wasn't trying to imply that you were trying to correct me...ha ha!....let's just infinitely regress where you now say 'I didn't intend to imply that you were implying that I was trying to correct you', and then I'll go, and then you'll go, etc., and we'll see whose head explodes first. Loser buys the samosas and cleans up her own head.
Seriously though, I'm glad you cleared it up. I like knowing stuff. I knew I didn't know about the Friday for sure, so I googled it. You make take some pride in the fact that apparently magicalfreddiemercury > Yahoo Answers. :)

LOL!! You are too funny. But how's this... if ever we do meet, I will definitely buy the samosas. You bring the fire extinguisher.:-)
