I could never understand why teenage girls are attracted to men in the age of their grandfathers |

Consider the source. And the comment about an assassin? Is it any wonder celebrities are leary of fans? This particular one needs a 'does' of reality. almost forgot...'Hola', Cindy and Paul |

From your vast experience being a 13 year old girl? |

About almost everything. They grow out of it, eventually. The larger mystery is why all the ladies think/thought Rog was to die for in the first place. He was very....pretty. :) |

tcc wrote: Teenage girls are attracted to old men only if the old men are rich. ================================= Why, that's a rather grim assessment of the female of the species. Reminds of poor Seth from Oxford, in the comments on the article shared above: If I had 65 million there's no way I'd get married. Just for the woman to divorce me and get half of it? Ha! No thanks. All women are out for what they can get.- Seth Mcandrew, Oxford, 3/10/2010 6:23 Awww, Seth. Don't date idiots, and you'll be fine. While I was there copying and pasting Seth, I noticed this one that made me LOL: Dear Roger and Sarina! What a wonderful news to wake up to in sunny Brisbane. On behalf of my tribute band KillerQUEEN and myself (impersonating your good self ), I would sincerely like to wish you good health and all the happiness in the world together for the rest of your lives. Long live King Roger...... :-)- Chubby, Brisbane, Australia, 3/10/2010 18:51 Roger would be all "Umm, thanks for impersonating me.....Chubby" On a side note it took me a while to figure out that "erm", was "um" with a crazy accent. Oh, you funny Brits... :) |

Grateful Fan wrote: "That's 'leery', spelling cop. Anything else you'd like to correct this kid on? From your vast experience being a 13 year old girl? " First, both spellings are acceptable. Second, no experience as a 13 year old female, but experience in helping to raise one who was that age at one time. Recently, Mike Portnoy left Dream Theater. He did the drums on the recent Avenged Sevenfold album (filled in for their recently deceased drummer), and is currently touring with them. There were many messages of hate against him and A7X from 'fans' of various ages that remind me of what I read from a poster earlier in this thread. It makes ME 'leary' to be around anyone like that, makes me cringe, and saddens me as well. I understand some comments being done tongue in cheek (though at times it is hard to tell), but that is better served in one-on-one discussions. Were this a face-to-face discussion, this would be spoken in a simple 'matter of fact' tone. I do live in a 'glass house', so I try to be careful when tossing a stone or two. Moving on.........I did receive a note that the new Mrs. Roger Taylor was with him in Hwood 2002 and Vegas 2003. Considering his track record, I was assuming the bride was someone else. Heck, we had never heard her name until two weeks ago. In Vegas, after performing 'With A Little Help From My Friends' (MeatLoaf on LVs), we took a pic of Roger with one of our friends as his companion was whisking away a very 'tired' Roger for the night. Good for them that after all these years, their partnership is still going strong. |

This isn't really directed at anyone in particular, but I think some folks here have failed to take into account that this is basically a child they're talking to/about. This kid has been met with mostly hostility here and there is absolutely no need for it. Even some people I genuinely like are getting in on it and I find that really disheartening. I could kind of understand some of the mean-spirited reactions from people her own age (because they're children also), but most of us are adults here! Some have been for decades. How about we act like it? Is it really that difficult to practice some civility? If you don't like her posts/topics, just skip them. It really is that simple. There's nothing to gain from bullying a child. |
*goodco* 06.10.2010 17:18 |
Dan (and GF), you are correct. To try and cure some insomnia last night, I came across some old summer thread involving the child (along with finally noting the 'I Love Queen' respondant in the Q+PR thread............oy frickin vey) Anyhoo...comments were made. Nothing has changed. So, no more 'bullying' from this end. Trying to ignore is difficult, when almost every thread has a comment, but that's my problem. It's very similar to Mr. Mahler. Took me too long to realize that the 'situation' was just too sad for any more bashing. If I try to start a Q&A similar to this thread, and any poster makes a similar 'assassin' comment, I still reserve the right to state that it is, shall we say, 'inappropriate'. Then again, the good give-and-take is becoming harder to find here. Moving on once again.................anyone met the new Mrs. Taylor or slightly familiar with her? Will check in next month for any responses. |

hola in vegas i never saw her.... his PA yes many times but didnt see him with anyone other then her in LA the same--- even backstage i didnt see her then again maybe i just missed her on those occasions i myself am just grateful i am still in the will.... for 98.8% of his entire estate-including catalog-future revenue and royalties.... *evil grin* |

The only thing I'd add to Dan C's post which was pretty much perfect is that we have to remember that we're fans of Queen, a timeless and amazing band. If we were fans of Gene Krupa or Ah-ha or something we might get to have the place to the adults, but the fact is that Queen is going to capture the rock and roll souls of kindred spirits as soon as they're old enough to have rock and roll souls. Their opportunities to connect with peers over this music is going to be limited. It's unkind to make life hard for them here, even when it doesn't rise to the inexplicable level of bullying that this did. More than once the contributions of kids here have been great, sometimes on purpose and sometimes by accident. Regardless, there are real people behind the keyboards capable of being affected by what we say and do. |
