i found one on the internet that i believe to be one of freddies, but idk if it was or wasnt,
but this is a very good question by the way, hope some one here dose find somethin because i love art and i want to go to collage to study it and i was inspired by good old Freddie ;) <3
I guess this is related to the post.
Why hasn't there been an available gallery of the man's work?
I doubt he really kept it up in his later life... but even in the Untold Story we only get fleeting glimpses of the guy's work... i think one painting of James Dean...etc...
Hmm... i've always been interested in that. If i'm not wrong...i think there was a travelling gallery that went to Japan once...a photo exhibition....did that ALSO contain any artwork?
if so...could someone please upload any snap shots etc..
this seems to be a neglected part of the guy's life.
I know when they first got the stall they sold off Freddie's paintings /drawings of Hendrix as a "guitar toting spaceman" - or something like that. He'd done them at Ealing. They found out quickly it didn't pay the rent so they began buying 2nd hand clothes (of not brilliant quality) and began altering them. Someone I know remembers him at the market and she said the thing that struck her about him most, aside appearance, was his loud voice, which is of course pretty distinctive. She's American and I don't think she'd heard many posh colonial accents like Fred's! There must be pictures out there of them from those days...
Wasnt there a picture of one of Freddie's sketches for one of his costumes that he wanted made.
Or was that someone else who did that.I think it was the costume he wore in the Its A Hard Life video.
I know its not a painting as such. But its still artwork.
