i HATE HATE HATE it when people diss Queen when they are that sad they are obsessed with juastin bieber and shit and deside to rub it in other peoples faces,
and think abotu it, all justin bieber and miley cyrus fans all love themselves so much they always wear so much fucking makeup and its always sparkley shit, and expensive hand bags, and they (pop pricks) always treat me (the rocker person) and all the other people with good taste like we werent ment to be and we have the worst taste in music EVER! and tehy always look down at us and critisise the way we look because they are sooooo perfect but realy they are just sad!
When I was 13, Queen had just released Killer Queen in the United States. This was life changing for me because they became my favorite group - by far. My best friend at the time, who had no interest in music other than a Beach Boys album that she had, said, "Hmm. That reminds me of the kind of music they play at the carnival," after listening to a few songs from Sheer Heart Attack. Also, my other friends, when I was in high school, were similarly not that impressed with Queen. They would say things like, "Oh, yeah - they're OK." Or they liked Queen but not enough to listen to their music a lot like I did. So, I was the only person I knew who really had a big emotional reaction to Queen's music.
Back during the years that new Queen music was being released, there were plenty of irritating music acts that got much more attention from the radio and TV shows.

i guess it never changes then ^_^ but we are sane and KNOW music! :)
OMFG i wish i was around in the 70's, i would actualy fit in! :O
Everyone has different tastes in music. It's just part of life. If they're taking the p*ss out of you for liking Queen, them liking Justin Beiber and Miley Cyrus would give you plenty of ammunition to fire back with surely. But, it won't change anything so just have to live with it. Enjoy listening to the music that YOU enjoy and that makes YOU happy. That is what music is all about.

Oh, I'm sure Gloria Gaynor, The Osmonds and Grease fans would still bother you if that were the case :).
Great thing about Queen today and will be forever in my view are just COOL!!
A lead singer with a mustache, not the most good looking guy in the world, but whata voice to me that is perfection. Now when i look at freddie i think he is handsome :)
A lot of people use to wind me up when i was in school for liking Queen, I didn't care, they were my heros and to this day still are,
Music today is all about looking good, forget if you have the voice, you have too look good too, you have to appeal to people. I don't want them to appeal to me, I want them to singe. I think music will be like this for years to come, but the funny thing is Queen will be in our hearts forever. An its thanks to us the young generation that is doing this.
As I mean for a younger generation my friends little sister who is 5, sings and dances to radio ga ga and she knows everyword :o too me it makes me smile.
Queen without any doubt in my view the best band to grce the earth, they are everything that other bands arent and that is perfection
Music will always be in the ear of the beholder.
I can't remember thinking anything about Queen in the 70s. They were just another group amongst many. Also, it's an age thing. You tend generally to love the music that was around in your formative years. And your taste in music can change. In my 20s I loved folk music and there was a fantastic folk club in Bradford, where I'm from. I have a couple of folk CDs, but can't remember the last time I played them. My era was the 70s. I don't like a lot of the 80s stuff. And now, I've got to the age where I can honestly say that all these groups with their silly names ALL SOUND THE SAME.
I'm not saying they're rubbish, but they ALL sound vaguely the same to me! "They don't write songs like they used to do."
