Sometime back I shared a PAL DVD version of this, but I quite like this version too.
Lineage is unknown but the video quality is about the same (trust me) however the audio sounds better.
It's also about half the size at 813mb
Pro Shot - 4:3 (Full Screen) NTSC - 29.97 fps
Single Vob file (MPEG2) 24 mins 13 seconds (slightly longer than PAL version)
I inserted a few subtle AV fades

NB. I also created an MP4 file for ipods - see below link

This was 1987.
Unless someone got hold of a master tape, it will be mono.
Nicam Stereo didn't start to be transmitted until 1988, and even then it was the London area only for a while.

Was there ever a rebroadcast? Could it be from cable or Sky?
I think this is possibly a mono HIFI recording, but I really don't know the story on it.
Not sure but I think it may have only been shown in the Thames Tv region.
I dont think cable was in stereo back then so your probably right in saying its a mono broadcast recorded on a stereo vcr as they would of been around at that time.

A wise man once said that patience is a virtue. I bet you 10 bucks that we'll get the Miklos version of Meltdown at least two years before the box set!

Miles better than the last one. Very watchable and listenable!
The previous version is still on my hard drive - as soon as I download this one I'll delete it and I'll keep this one as the definitive version... until Miklos' version surfaces ;)

Reply: Miklos Geneva was shared by Pim Derks, but not the Meltdown gig as it has not been remastered (yet)
Miklos wrote: I did send the audio for Pittrek for a bit of remastering back in the spring - when its ready i might be able to finish the remastering .
That explains why I thought I have your version already :-) I will contact you during next weeks (I'm 150% busy next 2 weeks)
