Hello everyone !
I had a question about an old date, from 1975, in Dallas.
Until now, every information collected (tour programmes, fan club magazines, and so on) stated that the concert was due on 23rd March in Dallas.
But recently a ticket appeared on Ebay, stating the date was on the 22nd. See Martin's website for a copy of the ticket : link
The questions are : why are the two dates different ? were there two shows ? Or one show but re-scheduled ? Do someone have some information ?
Is someone with a detective mind able to search through Dallas's newspapers from March 1975 - April 1975, to find some explanation (or reviews) ?
Any piece of evidence ?
thanks a lot for every helpful information.

I have also been looking into this, but my search has also left me with no answer.
I have no reviews from the show either or any other info apart from the fact that Bloodrock suported Queen that night.
I would have to say that the 22nd is more likely as it is on the ticket, and maybe these would of been re printed if they had of been issued with the wrong date.....maybe?
I repeat this request........Is anybody on here from Dallas? Did anyone go that night or does anyone know the local newspaper from this period?
OK people, I have found a radio announcement for this show, advertising it on the 22nd March 1975.
Therefore, I think we can validate this date. Tickets were bearing that date.
I am not in favor of the possibility that they played a second date the following day. But who knows.
Here is the link to dowlload the radio announcement : link
I won't make up any lineage for that.
I got it from a guy who created home made CDrs, this one is called "As Flown On The Zoo - Production Masters 1975 - KZEW 98 FM). It contains radio announcements from major bands in the Dallas region in 1975. By the way, it's crazy to see such bills, in a very close time you could see numerous bands such as Genesis, Jethro Tull, Led Zep, Blue Oyster Cult, Humble Pie, Peter Frampton, John Lennon, Alice Cooper, Kansas, Fletwood Mac, Chicago, Doobie Brothers, Rush, Bad Co, Jeff Beck, Lynyrd Skynyrd... All in the same city. I would be happy to see that kind of programme nowadays, let me tell you !
I got a similar CD with years 1976 and 1977, and there is another announcement for Queen & Thin Lizzy on 1977.02.25.
what I was said about these recordings is : "Recordings on the CD are right off the master tapes of the commercials". Most probably right, as it is completely lossless.
So now, I guess the mystery about the Dallas 1975 date is solved.

I hope you get an answer to this one! It's almost the same question posed for the mythical (?) 5th Hammersmith Odeon date in 1975... Despite no advertising for an extra date added and no mention of it in various music paper listings for that week (which I have), Martin has in his collection a used ticket stub for a 5th date (Dec. 3rd I think) that someone found on the floor of Hammersmith Odeon in early January 1976..... No one seems to be able to explain this - even old crew members around at the time can't say definitely that there was a fifth date!
Do you think it should be placed in the "Sharing Music" section ?
Sure, go for it ! Maybe you can even put a few promos into a nice little package. There are also ones from Lakeland 78, Milwaukee 80, Chicago 80, Montreal 82, and Brian in Buenos Aires 11-6-92. Have you got these, or any others?
Thanks again for the 75/77 promos.
